Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm here to leave a quick review!!
First Impression: Well this was another wholesome installment in this sudden influx of more wholesome stories that I am running into and honestly I am definitely not complaining in the slightest. These are very much a joy to run into and you're doing a great job showing the happiness as much as you do with terror.
Anyway let's get right to it,
Fourteen year old Gabriel Edwards waited patiently in the circus tent. His friend, William, told him to.
It was Christmas Eve..or was it Christmas Day? He forgot, but he knew that today was a special day involving the holiday season.
Gabriel used to love Christmas. Decorating the tree with his parents and his little sister, Gwyneth. Making cookies, going out to see the amazing Christmas displays..
…That was before Mr.Lucas Ladouceur, William’s Dad, went on a mad murder rage and killed him and a few other people.
Gabriel worked as a clown, because he could and he thought that it was fun..it was fun..when he was alive…
Well this is a familiar face there and we're tapping into some pretty sad times there judging from those memories. It looks like we're really reflecting on some of those horrible moments there and Gabriel is just reliving a sad past.
…Until he brought his girlfriend, Denise, to the circus late at night. That was the night Mr.Lucas Ladouceur killed him. Denise left Gabriel behind, to die at his hands. For many years, he had just been known as Bubblegum the clown.
His lips were all stitched up, which was part of his tortuous death. He had one of his legs chopped off and his intestines removed.
He used to communicate with telepathy, but he lost that ability.
Now, he was mute.
“Gabriel! Come out, everyone is waiting!” William squealed happily as he walked into the tent.
OOooh this is intriguing. After we go and revisit all the horrors that poor Gabriel had to deal with it seems we are taking a small dive into something else here. Well lets see where this one ends up leading us to.
Gabriel extended his hand and William took it, as he couldn’t walk very well after what happened to him.
“You’re going to love it, trust me!”
Gabriel doubted anything would make him happy now.
“Oh, and cover your eyes with your free hand. Don’t take the hand out until everyone says “Merry Christmas”! “ William added.
So all of the ghosts were involved, not just William? Well, this would be interesting.
Gabriel covered his eyes with his free hand, trusting William to lead him to the surprise.
Oooooh well it looks like there's quite a few ghosts from that particular town who get together to try and make Gabriel feel better from the looks of things. Perhaps this won't be just a long sad reminiscing as I thought it was going to be.
“Merry Christmas, Gabriel!”
Gabriel took his hand off of his eyes..
…All of the other ghosts were there, the whole circus was decorated with Christmas lights and…and it started snowing! Actually snowing!
Tinkling Christmas music played somewhere and his parents from Heaven were there, too.
It was truly a magical sight.
“I know this wasn’t the Christmas any of us imagined, but..”
Ooooh that definitely is quite the magical sight there. It looks like those ghosts really did go very much out of their way to make something special happen here. It seems they do all feel some sympathy towards poor Gabriel and what he had to go through.
He pulled William in a tight hug.
“Soo..you like it?” William asked.
He nodded vigorously.
“I knew you would.” William chuckled.
“Soo..let’s stop standing around and celebrate already!” William said.
Everyone pitched in and if Gabriel’s lips were not stitched up, you would have seen him beaming from ear to ear.
Well that's a lovely place to end there. I wasn't expecting it to be so wholesome but yet again we have ourselves a wholesome little moment there and another sad ghost gets a little moment of some magic and happiness.
Aaaaand that's it for this one.
Overall: Overall, a lovely addition to the collection of tales by vampricone and I am now tempted to try and track down more stories to see how many more wholesome ones I can find. At any rate, I enjoyed this one quite a bit too. Let's see what more is there to come.
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.
Stay Safe
