1. Daddy sure buys a lot of places!

SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th, 1993.

Leona didn’t know how, but he did it. Daddy bought houses and buildings. She didn’t know such a thing was possible, but it was.

As she waited for Amelia to get out of the bathroom so they could play, she thought of how hard Daddy worked, how people didn’t like him, and how he bought Mommy lots of nice jewelry. He was busy, but he always played with her and Amelia when he had time. Work was work. Adults had to work a lot. That was what they did.

The one question Leona had was: When would he stop? Would he ever stop? Or would he just keep buying and buying, like he was going to take over the world-

“I’m out!” Amelia beamed, stepping out of the bathroom.

Leona smiled back. Together, the two ran across the hall to their shared room to play a game.

What was she thinking? Daddy would never take over the world, he was a good possible!Taking over the world wasn’t even possible!

2. The meeting of David Richardson and Lucas Ladouceur

“Are you new?” David Richardson asked the man sitting next to him at the bar. He had seen the man and his family here in this town before, but didn’t recognize him. The majority of people who he saw were usually people from his childhood.

“No. I’ve lived here my whole life, before your family came and owned the place.” The man said bitterly.

“Oh? No need to be so mean! I’m welcome to everyone.” David said, sticking his hand out.

The man ignored his hand and instead sipped the bottle he held.

Well! No one ever ignored him before. Usually they were eager to be welcomed.

But this man was…not.

“So, what’s your name?” David asked, trying for a new tactic.

No response.

“Do you like living here? Is there anything I can do to improve this place?”

The man mumbled something. David wasn’t sure what he said, but he could have sworn the words were: I wish you’d shut up.

Clearly the guy wasn’t on speaking terms. David knew that, but it still hurt him a little. Usually people were happy to see him. No one ever hated him.

That was to be expected with the kind of money he had.

Oh well. Not everyone was David’s friend. He’d just have to get used to it.

3. Only two hours of sleep

Lucas crept into bed, smiling weakly at his sleeping wife, Isabella. She wouldn’t see him because her eyes were closed, but he still wanted to do it anyway, as it felt right to him.

He knew that he’d only get two hours of sleep. Between working at the circus and hearing the whispers at night, he wouldn’t sleep very long.

He’d still put the effort in though. It was better to try sleeping than to not sleep at all. That was what Isabella told him and so, he tried his hardest to believe it, even though it got harder with the days that went on.

Lucas tried.

4. Acheron’s curse

If only Acheron hadn’t fallen in love with Thalia.

It had one job. One simple job. To steal the souls of those who enjoyed the “Circus of magic”. It was so ready for the mission. It really wanted to steal souls. It really wanted more strength. Who wouldn’t love a circus?

Then Thalia happened. She was just so kind and wonderful! Her smile lit up the entire circus tent, her enthusiastic nature was contagious!

She was also very beautiful, but that didn’t matter much to it.

Acheron didn’t think that it would ever fall in love. Before, it thought that love was for silly humans alone.

But when she came along, bringing colors and happiness and everything that didn’t come from Hell to its life, it had a new mission: Bring joy to Thalia.

It brought much more than joy to her, it brought her a small boy, whom she named Lucas, which had seemed so soft and yet so brave, perfect for their little boy.

Thalia’s friend, Corrine, didn’t like Acheron that much. She probably sensed that something was off or maybe, she just didn’t trust it.

But they had a good relationship! Acheron did nothing but love her, even if doing so was against what the other demons wanted it to do, even if it wasn’t getting it any souls from Richardson. When Thalia came along, Acheron thought that maybe, there was more to life than being a demon, that it could be happy like a human, that maybe, it could marry Thalia and leave the circus, raise Lucas with her…

Until the other demons had figured it all out and cursed it to forever perform as “Mr. Sillynoodles the ringmaster, rooted to the Circus of magic,” unable to leave the circus grounds, tied there for an eternity. There was no amount of magic it could muster that would break the curse, for it was a curse designed to not be broken. Acheron was trapped, in a ridiculous circus with a ridiculous name, far from its family, its loved ones.

Thalia understood what had happened and still loved it, even if Acheron would never be able to leave. It was much more than Acheron thought was deserved for it and sometimes, it wondered if staying on Earth was even worth it if it couldn’t be a truly loving husband and father.

Thalia would visit the circus with their baby, but she had told it that maybe, it was best for Lucas to not know what it was until he was older and while it did hurt Acheron that Lucas wouldn’t know who his father was for some time, it would still be able to tell him one day, it would still be around to teach, not just entertain.

At least its beloved wife and child were alright.

That made its’ curse a little less painful…

5. The stitches of Gabriel

Gabriel couldn’t make the stitches come off, no matter how much he pried at them. They were permanent. They would stay on.

The other ghosts couldn’t take them off of him. William tried to, but those stitches wouldn’t budge.

He didn’t have the ability to use telepathy anymore either.

Gabriel didn’t want to be mute, but it appeared that was how it would be.

He was reduced to a mute clown ghost at the edges of a forgotten circus.

Last one from this folder!

I like this child-like view on someone who seems very evil in the first story.
Although look at this here: “he was a good possible!Taking” there’s a word missing in the first sentence and a space after the exclamation mark.

Especially in the second story, a reminder on dialogue formatting is in order: remember a sentence with “He said.” Cannot stand on its own, that’s why you combine it with the speech (via comma)
Hm I like that through this we’re learning more about Lucas. The way he’s been so bitter toward David makes me think that there might be more to him than just evil ringmaster.
That goes even more for the third story! “Lucas tried.” No no, don’t make me feel for him =(

Okay, completely new characters in the fourth story.
The parents! The parents of Lucas! I really like this story and all it tells me about the principal characers!

Oh and the fifth one touches upon my idea of changing Gabriel’s appearance. This takes place before he starts writing things down, huh? This last story is just… Ach the misery ☹

Yep, you%u2019re right about the fifth one.

And there are more stories under this folder but it%u2019s a lot, so read when you can. Can you see the other stories?

Thx for reading!

I can but I only read Green Room stuff as of now. Maybe I will read the rest when the Green Room is empty.
