There was this poor middle-aged man that was walking along the road. As he made his way home he was attacked by these hooligans. They struck him repeatedly and stole everything but the clothes on his back. The pain was sharp, like he had been stabbed in the side repeatedly. He ached and it was so apparent that those who walked by noticed, yet none of them stopped. Not a single one.
You see, this man was an outcast and being so meant that he should never be helped. Doing so would result in catastrophic results for your well-being. You would join him as an outcast if you were to look at him for too long. So fearing for themselves, nobody stopped.
As more and more people walked by and avoided his pleas, he questioned all of his actions to date. It hurt him that nobody seemed to care, they were all selfish people. He began to sob and he wished he could take back all of his many mistakes. He hoped at least one person would show sympathy, compassion, kindness, yet nobody ever did.
For each person that walked by, his heart was squeezed tighter as if someone was trying to crush his heart. For every person that passed without a passing glance his pain grew, and the hurt simmered.
Every time I see hurt in the world I think about that man on the side of the road, sobbing in pain, obviously angry with the world. I regret the decision I made to walk by that day. Every single day of my life I wish I could take it back. A wise man had a conversation with me once, really he was the only one that spoke,
If you feel the hurt of another near you, and you have the power to aid them, act upon that feeling. Do not consider the impact it could have on your future, just act. You must open your heart to the hurt of the world. Use compassion because this world is in desperate need of it. Compassion is a quality so incredibly human yet we hide it away in fear.
Know today and understand that you are not perfect and that we all make poor decisions in life. What is important is that you grow from them. Imperfection is the most human aspect of all humanity.
You need to spread your compassion child. Let the world see everything they have begun to believe doesn't exist anymore. Show them.
Let it be known across the world that we care. Do not sit back and allow humanity to believe this of themselves, that we are a kind that lacks compassion. Too many have already believed this and this shall not be our future.
We must act out and change the things deemed normal set by society. The things you and I know should not be common. We need to make sure that everyone knows the kindness we are capable of, the kindness we hide inside of us in fear of judgement.
Your heart is ready to burst with the compassion you have kept inside for so long. Let it flow and spread across the world.
I believe in you child. Spread the compassion, spread the love. I am entrusting you to change the world like I know you can.
After that, without allowing me to speak, he left. I haven't seen him since. I sometimes wonder what ever happened to him. I like to believe that he went to everyone he could and told them
Spread your compassion as far as you can. Yes you are only one person, but you can change the perspectives of so many people. Influence and impact, make a huge difference. Compassion demands to be acted upon.
I take his words and spread them around. I tell everyone to stop making excuses for your lack of action. That if you are not acting, you are actually compassionless. Caring is shown by your actions. So get up, do something meaningful with your life. Change the world we live in, leave a lasting legacy on this Earth. You know what you must do, as you have been called to do it. Even the simplest things have a large impact, you can do it all. You may not have realized what it was you were called to do but now you are aware and you will realize your calling.
Keep your eyes open and your purpose will become apparent to you. Your one action can result in a positive snowball effect on the entire world. You have the capability now act upon it! Do what you can to change the world by caring about others.
I am always thinking about whether or not I care about others. I have come to the conclusion that I do. I wish others saw the compassion buried deep inside each and every one of us. For now, I just hope you were listening and you took this to heart and you begin to spread your compassion with everyone around you. It needs to be seen by everyone.
The world needs compassion. Be the one who starts the chain of those who care.

You did a great job! This story has a great lesson and big realization in my life. Thank you for posting this. It reminds me of something. keep it up dear! Writing is one of the best tool to make people realize of something.
Hi! there roeckercody
First off, I know that it's days delayed but
And, wow! *claps* That was a beautifully-written piece. It's encouragement & inspiration strikes real well. Need not say so much because I was fascinated by it. Hence, I felt nostalgic about this & an experience popped in my mind. True enough that we must show compassion with everyone. We don't know what one is going through.
But I really like this paragraph:
^Be the change, take courage. 'Cause when we do something unpleasant, we're talked about. If we do something good, they say there's hidden agenda. Both ways we're judged but choose what you can live up. Without having regrets & conscience hunting and bothering you.
Also, '...attacked by
thesehooligans'. Remove these, I don't think it's necessary.I guess, that's it. Thanks for sharing,
Hope to read more from you.

Hello... *waves with a smile*
"Imperfection is the most human aspect of all humanity."
If you ever become a well-known writer in the future and this is the quote of yours that I'm going to use.
The thing about this story is that it's a really good read; nothing too intense and nothing too mind-wrenching. The simplicity of it has made it very soothing.
The message about compassion and acceptance of oneself has been delivered very smoothly and almost flawlessly and it's a very good eye-opener.
However, ALMOST is never enough.
As a reader I was confused about the flow of the story, initially. The story about the outcast and his pain seemed like the main story and then abruptly, it changes into a monologue of the narrator speaking of some another wise man speaking about compassion.
It perplexed me and I had to go back to the first paragraph and try to find and distinct link.
"I regret the decision I made to walk by that day."
There it was (I'm assuming)- subtle... VERY subtle. Please ensure that the links in the story are prominent and conspicuous, otherwise, the readers will have the unpleasant experience of re-reading the previous paragraphs before completing the entire story.
Overall, the story was very touching and had a strong moral.
Hi, I am here for review.

Great message! We are a kind that lacks compassion. It's true. I will take this to my heart. Now, I can be the change. And be the one who starts the chain of those who care. Thanks for spreading the word compassion over here.
I found some nitpicks here and there:
"There was this poor middle-aged man that (who) was walking along the road.
"he questioned all of his (all his) actions to date.
"The pain was sharp, (no comma) like he had been stabbed in the side repeatedly.
"He began to sob and he wished he could take back all of his (all his) many mistakes.
He hoped at least one person would show sympathy, (improper spacing) compassion, (and) kindness, yet nobody ever did.
"Too many have already believed this and this shall (must) not be our future.
"I am always thinking about whether or not (whether) I care about others.
"I wish others saw the compassion buried deep inside each and every (instead of 'each and every' use just 'each') one of us.
Yes (,) you are only one person
Nice job! Keep writing
