In operation imperial

11.

‘Time to rebuild our nation’

After watching, numerous deaths due to food poisoning, a rape incident, fainted drug addicts and lot more cruel stuff in the college. I decided that I would conduct a sting operation and surprisingly students supported me because without their help this operation was meaningless. Anyhow, I grabbed their support and started my basic preparations for the ‘Operation Imperial’. First, I called prof. gupta and told him the entire concept of this sting operation. After his valuable approval on this stuff, I met with the HOD’s of each department; they gave me the permission for the grand seminar (in which I was expecting lot of students from each branch). However, some questions were also swinging back and forth in my mind but I ignored them. My brain all focussed on the bulls’ eye. After eating the starters, I switched on to the main course, I mean after taking permission from the ‘GIANTS’, I arranged two large seminar rooms. In one room, I addressed the audience and in another room, prof. gupta was in charge. Albeit I was expecting big crowd but only eight ‘brave and bright’ students came to hear my lecture. Nevertheless, I believe in qualitative approach not in quantitative one, so I accepted all the students in one room. After taking a glance over my eight listeners, I saw Imtiaz Ali and Devika were also there, curiously looking at my face. My confidence level boosted after sensing their curiosity, I pulled my sleeves up and started the seminar:

“Good morning everyone, some of you know me, but still majority does not know my name. I am Ratan, ECE faculty. First, I let you know that what the purpose of this seminar is. The objective behind this seminar is “sting operation”. My vision is to make all of you free from this hell and I just want your support because without your support my vision is incomplete. It is my promise that after six days you will at your homes.

Now, besides doing only ‘bolbachan’, let us see what we have to do practically. After this, I shall ask your opinion on this stuff.

Now, one thing is quite clear that our prime motive is to conduct a successful sting operation in our univ and the name of this sting operation is ‘Operation Imperial’.

Until now, whatever I told you, forget about that stuff for some time. It is the time to think that what your role in this crucial operation is. On the very first day, you have to plant cameras secretively in classes, toilets, hostels’ food area, canteen etc and I will take care of the higher offices like dream house, hod office, univ hospital, bus department etc. After planting bomb like cameras everywhere, five days we will sit idle and record everything on our console. I want one student as third in command who will guard the recordings day wise. On the sixth day, nobody will attend the college; we will make our videos compact so that we can easily upload them on social sites via univs’ ‘secret WI-FI’ (only faculties have the access to use the Wi-Fi.)

This was the small summary of what we have to do as engineers.

My good students, right now, India needs a helping hand because private and Govt. engineering institutions are changing the definition of “innovation” in our country.

Now raise your hands those who really want to help ‘MAA BHARTI’.”

I ended my seminar which took approx. an hour. Also in the end, I added a satire so that no body rejects my vision and my satire really worked. At last, without any doubt all the students raised their hands and said in chorus “Salute to Operation Imperial, Time to rebuild our nation”, later it became our slogan.

These have low risk, and the potential reward is immense. Don’t compromise with your peace of mind and make sure you have all that you need while doing an interview.

Hi there! Yup, it's me and I'm back for a review on this happy review day :D

Great! There's some real action going on and it seems we've reached the "Operation Imperial" which has roused my curiosity so much!

Positive:
This time, Ratan is doing something sensible by taking on the university at a grand level! This is really good and gives readers a great opinion of Ratan, which is exactly what you, as writer, wants.
There is some quality action and great suspense going on here. What are they going to find? What will they do with it? This is fantastic! You've really got the plot rolling here.

Negative:
Not much to say here apart from what I've been saying all along. Grammar, character development (though this is quite an improvement) and some healthy editing will take this from fair to fabulous!

Good work, soldier! See you again :)

Ok review time.

I know this is going to seem sort of weird but the first sentence.

After watching, numerous deaths due to food poisoning, a rape incident, fainted drug addicts and lot more cruel stuff in the college. I decided that I would conduct a sting operation and surprisingly students supported me because without their help this operation was meaningless.

Actually needs a comma between college and decided, however this make the sentence very very long. I think a solution to this could be to cut down the list like this example below, (also you have a few commas in the wrong place for example the one after watching is not supposed to be there):
After watching numerous food poisoning deaths, a rape incident, fainted drug addicts and all hell of college, I decided that I would conduct a sting operation. Surprisingly enough, students supported me. Without their help this operation was meaningless.
This should clarify it a bit like so.

prof. gupta

That's Prof. Gupta. Capitals for pronouns.

Albeit I was expecting big crowd but only eight ‘brave and bright’ students came to hear my lecture.

Do you mean 'Albeit and I' or was Albeit some sort of typo.

You have some section here with good clear paragraphs and phrasing, but you have others, such as that first one that I re-wrote, you need to look out for. Good job and keep writing.

Hey Rishabh!

Well, I really like this chapter. It's probably my favourite of them all albeit short ^^ That doesn't matter much though. This was the chapter which ties together all the loosely related chapters and where it's revealed to the reader what the title actually means. I liked how you did it. I also liked how you summarized the whole story and now we get to see a lot of Ratan's good nature because he's going to try and make a difference so these students can live a better life. You also showed us how he's going to do it, but maybe it would've been nice if you'd kept that bit a secret. Maybe only reveal hints of what they're going to do, because as a reader now I can predict what's going to happen. And I'm pretty sure you'd like the ending to be more suspenseful and tension-packed. What you could do is show us what they do in the latter chapters without revealing what actually happens. That could help a lot.

I also feel like this is the climax of the story and from here onwards the pace might slow down a little so that we can get to a nice ending. I wonder what it'll be like. And I hope all the students stay loyal to the cause. It was nice seeing people Ratan helped gathered there as well, like Devika. It was that "happy chapter" I was hoping to see :)

As for grammar and punctuation, this chapter was one of your best with that as well. I didn't see many mistakes. I just want to mention though, that in the last paragraph you put "no body" but it's actually one word like this: nobody.

Nice chapter! Keep letting me know when you post ^^
