WHAT AM I?
What am I?
Not Who am I?
Less obvious than
A grain of sand in a sandbox,
Like a drop of water in the sea,
Or like a leaf upon a tree.
One in a billion,
Yet I'm proud,
I have my plans,
To walk the earth
And become a someone.
Making me
Like a drop of blood
In the snow,
But from Apollo 13
Even astronauts realized,
What were they
Compared to all they saw?
What I see is only I,
To me the only importance is I.
To all of mankind
The importance is them
Like they say
Think outside the box
Yet I think of me
To become maybe a doctor
Or a nurse or a lawyer
To be rich and beautiful
And have people
Swoon at me
Flying here, flying there
I spend my life
Like a snap
Of a finger
Engrossed in myself
That there is only I
And me.
From the mirror,
To the window at the bank,
I'm staring at a person
Who think it's all about her
Yet
Trillion of miles away,
Where the earth is a mere
Speck in the massive universe,
I am nothing.

very nice, but set a little more imagery up for the reader... liked it *****
Very thoughtful, personally I didn't see anything wrong with the first verse. It sounded good to me.
I can relate to this very well, Good job!

Actually i did it unintentionaly...hmm..
This is good! I don't know if it was intentional or not but I would try not to use ryhme too much (first verse).
Keep writing!
