Love is forgetting my birthday,
then singing Never Shout Never down the hallways, just for me.
Love is faking sick so we can spend the day,
Up to our knees in cd’s.
Love is calling me babe,
in front of my mom and apologizing.
Love is going to my church to impress my dad,
and liking it.
Love is supporting my amateur poetry.
Love is being nice to my friends even though they hate you.
Love is driving over 2 am the night my family dog dies,
holding me and never letting go.
Love is this feeling that never leaves,
even when I hate you.
Love is damaging and dark,
it pulls me apart.
Love is puppies and sunshine,
it is God and the moon.
Love is everything to me,
what is it to you?

Hello there!
I actually really like this poem. It's different than the dozens of other love poems I've read; as opposed to me forgetting this as soon as I press the little red x in the corner of the screen, I'll remember it for quite a while. You impressed me.
This is my favorite part of the poem. It's cute but not overly gushy.
I've got to say that as much as I loved the rest of the poem, that's how much I dislike this part. I was engrossed in reading the poem, and then the moment I read the first line of this part, I leaned back from the screen and was like, "No. She didn't just say that." It's stereotypical and doesn't have the uniqueness of the rest of the poem! I get what you're trying to say, but I don't like how you said it. That's just my opinion, though; if you like this the way it is, then stick with it.
Always keep writing!

Hey misstoria,

I really like this poem since it has that frank and casual feel to it. I simply love those descriptions of what love and showing that all those simple, small things all contribute to the affection that the narrator and her boyfriend. This poem doesn't go too far making drastic moments, instead it gives the whole message with such a light-hearted and 'pure' way.
Nice work, this. And I'm looking forward to reading more from you. Keep the ink flowing!

Great! So I, as a fully fledged cynic, probably shouldn't like this. Right? Wrong. It was startlingly real, lovely and believable and just made me want to read more.
Keep Writing!
