Light fades to birth a silent night,
So that the darkness may bleed the sight
Of a mind that reviews only error.
To think on all that has been said
As slowly, softly, she climbs into bed
Is to take the hand of Terror
~
Dare she opens her mind to think
And the Hounds will drift up from the brink
To howl out every last mistake;
Lashing out with chains of fire
Never pondering on how she might tire.
I beg you: Take heed of what you break.
~
Even a soul can rot and die;
She feels it every time they lie.
Oh, but words can never harm the mind.
I'd rather be broken with wood and stone
Than retract from emotion and feel alone;
Mother, Father, endlessly kind.
~
You see, we've found a greater fear
Than words of hate, however sheer.
To my Lady, in respectful advance;
To feel that unholy, binding bliss
To know you crave the Reaper's kiss
Is to engage in Death's own Dance.

Amazing! I felt kind of sad while reading, but thought it was a fantastic poem at the same time! I feel like the theme of death here is really intense, giving it that more realistic feel to it. The language you used was outstanding and fit with this perfectly.
D I loved it!!!!
The lines of this poem were easy to imagine in real life, because of the awesome detail you put in with your words. It was just... wow.
Keep up with your awesome work, and I look forward to reading more of your work!
Thank you, Leonine
I really appreciate the kind words!
WOW! I'm seriously amazed! This poem is beautiful but in a way kind of sad... haha but that's good though! The choice of vocabulary words is excellent! The entire text is flowing and it's amazing that you're only 17! I mean I'm 17 as well but I can't nearly write as well as you! Maybe you could give me a few tips?
The last line "Is to engage in Death's own Dance" is the best line out of the entire poem all though I loved all of it no worries
but just that imagery it creates I can see it before me following Death and letting him lead or take control. That is really amazing I could write about this all day haha but I have to start writing myself maybe we can exchange some ideas? I would really appreciate that! Thank you!
Greetings,
Philip
Hey Philip!
I'm online quite a bit since I go to a virtual school; you can use the chatbar or message me, or even leave a message on my wall; I can usually get it pretty quickly

I'm glad you enjoyed the poem; I've been trying to improve my writing as much as possible lately.
I'd be happy to chat and exchange ideas anytime!
Thank you for the review! I really appreciate it
Each line of your poem brought a type of image with it, and played a short movie scene. This is how a poem should be, or any type of literary work for that matter. There was no imagination playing into it. It didn't have to guess what you were writing about. Your work is very clear and stated in a very well manner. Needless to say, I love it.
Thank you for the review, Hope! I really appreciate it
You're very welcome
