Hi Liminality,
I'm here to review your poem. I really liked it. Birds are often used for metaphors about freedom but I think your approach is even more interesting. Not only you are talking about how hard is to let go but also when you leave the city (animal or human) it can be hard to get used to it. I think you described the scene very well. It allowed us to feel a part of the poem. I do agree with penngreen4776. The first line is a little difficult to understand. I hope I get to read more of your poems.
I hope you have a great day,
MoonIris
Ps: I LOVE your avatar. I love wolves :)

Thanks for the review! Right back at you with the avatar :D

Hiya, hello, and hey! I'm penn, and I gotta say, this is looking pretty green!

Lazy puns about my name aside, I have to say, this is a pleasant yet almost melancholy thing to read. Imagery is all over the place here, from your "tugging strings of blue" all the way to the "fiery orange sky." It provides a fantastic setting that can only be beautiful from within the mind, and the personification of this setting brings it all together to create one thought-provoking poem that led to me learning a new word!

Peal. Verb. To ring loudly or in a peal. Who knew?

The way you describe the sky as humming and folding cloud arms as well as a road flowing like an accordion made me look twice, if only because my brain had to take a moment to imagine something as painfully obvious as a long road being like a folding instrument.

I like this, even if it the "tugging strings of blue" aren't all that clear to understand. At least to me. Thumbs up!

Thanks for the review! I'm happy you enjoyed it <3 and thanks for the feedback on that one image; I agree it's not the most transparent.

akdsjfh you know that feeling where you start writing a scene but then you get bored with the scene so you move on and start writing a different scene and then you get bored with that scene so you move on to an entirely different WIP and then you get bored with that so you move on-
