Hello! Here are my thoughts.

From first glance, I thought the formatting was unique though slightly jarring. I feel like this is reading between the lines. Like, one person is texting “call me next time,” but underneath you can see their real feelings. They feel neglected or positively overwhelmed? Or, maybe this is two friends drifting apart.

I wish I could comment more. I’m so curious what’s the meaning of this poem?

Overall, this was interesting.

Thanks for the review, Dest! :D I loved reading your interpretations of the poem. I think I was going for that 'overwhelmed' aspect in the poem, you know that feeling people get when overthinking text messages. Thanks again!

Hello, I'm penn!

I have to admit, I'm grossly under-qualified to even try to interpret what you might mean, but as you can see, my incompetence has yet to fully stop me!

It's a very different and interesting way to write this. It's a series of texts being received, and what I believe to be texts that may be meant to go out, like a choice in how it's meant to be read. From line 1 to line C (i don't know how else to describe it, since numbers are already being used here), an argument could be made for someone potentially being mad at the speaker, angry that they haven't kept in contact for something important. A, B, and C are either choices of how one may read the conversation or are just straight up what the speaker says in response to the text. Judging from line A's "not much of me may be there by then," you could also interpret something depressing, maybe an illness, cancer, or just straight depression.

Line 2) is in quotes, which may mean the speaker is traveling through older texts. It gets more difficult to interpret as you go down, but I can only guess that someone is attempting to talk to the other, and the other is refusing to answer.

I give this a thumbs up for making me confused, AND interested! Reminds me of playing a Hideo Kojima game.

Hi penn! Shh everyone is qualified to give their thoughts on poetry :D I actually put the quotes in to show that "Thanks for caring." is a reply from the other person. Nonetheless I really enjoyed hearing your interpretation of this piece! Thanks for leaving a review!
