Kalu

by Laure

She kept jars of hearts in the vintage little glass

That perches precariously between the wooden flasks

‘They had wondrous colours’ she would say

With eyes of chartreuse and a heart of saffron hay

At the height of autumn, they came for her

Of ebony wings and words astir

Their darkness stark against the snow white ground

And as the cold came last, she buried herself in yesteryears

She kept jars of hearts in the vintage little glass

That perches precariously between the wooden flask

‘They had wondrous colours’ she once said

With mirrored eyes and a heart of crumbling clay.

Um, well, this seemed like it would be a great poem, but instead, there is nothing there.

I really want to review this because it seems so interesting, well-written, and beautiful. Alas, I have a feeling you deleted this.

Ugh I'm so sorry. I want to read this SO BADDDDDDD!!!!!!!! Oops!

Maybe you can actually post this, and I will most certainly review it. Thanks so much!

Alex out!

BOOM *appears in a dramatic smoke bomb*
Ladcat here to review!

I love the style, the poetry, the emotion! I am moved to tears, literally moved to tears. }:,) Your piece penetrates to the very core of human nature, and shows us the beauty lying dormant underneath the shell of this cruel, cruel world. I want to thank you for this from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, Laure, for this.

*sarcasm*

Yeah I'm totally making fun of you. But don't you worry, I've done the same thing more times than I think I can count. :D

So, as always, keep writing-
