There was a knock upon the door,
repeated twice to implore
if I was ever coming out again,
and to please, let the knocker in.
As if last time I'd turned the key,
like anyone would if lonely,
the handle hadn't scorched and burned
my fingers while their laughter spurned.
Too wise to fall for dirty schemes
I wrapped around me wistful dreams
of a room with no hatches, latches or doors
and no people with insecurities to compensate for.

I really liked this poem.
I do however, feel like it could be expanded on and find some immature comments quite rubbish.
I found its simplicity quite relaxing and enjoyable.
I really think you should carry on writing but add a slight more amount of detail too.
Well done!
Wow i really like this!
I really like the title as well. I was going to tell you which line I liked the best but I couldn't pick one.
I think this is a really fantastic poem
I love this! only critique is I would switcht he positions of doors and latches, it would add a poetic quip into the stanza. Overall, I love this! keep it up
