In Cortez Shivick

Cortez Shivick was heading towards the Fire News building in his BMW car. There, the crowd which surrounded Cortez's car appeared like millions of bees thronging around the best flower in the country. Cortez himself was the culprit behind this- he had posted about this interview on his social media page. It was a struggle for him to breathe in the chaos of the crowd which resulted him in opening the windows.

Within a few seconds, the whole place was full of sounds like, "Cortez- Sir -Meet- Selfie" It was really difficult to distinguish the sounds from one another. A craggy-faced man appeared from the crowd near the window staring at Cortez who was immediately removed by a dimpled woman trying to take a selfie with Cortez.

To Cortez, it seemed like he will either have some breathing disease or he will die from breathlessness. Ultimately, the Fire News protected him. A hatched- faced man wearing formal clothes came out of the building and announced facing the crowd, "Hello, hello. If you don't let him come, then we will not shoot the interview."

This sentence worked. The crowd divided themselves into two halves making a way for the cortez's car as if the soldiers are making a way for the King's chariot to move.

The BMW went straight to the garage of the white coloured, five floor building. There, Cortez, whose clothes were completely drenched, came out of the car.He had to re-dress for the interview only for those uncontrollable fans.

After an hour, the interview started. The interviewer was the man who protected Cortez from the hands of the fans. He gave a wide smile facing the camera and started, "Hello, welcome to Fire News, the number one channel of the country. Today, we are here with a person who needs no introduction- Cortez Shivick, the famous social media influencer." Then she applauded along with the camera men to give a emphasizing effect.

"So, the first question- why did you choose social media as a way of income? We all know that earlier you were a renowned businessman and also, you studied economics. So, why social media? These are not the same." asked the interviewer.

Cortez sighed. Alvaro had told him the answer to this question. "Actually," he answered smiling, "I made this account just for keeping all updated about my daily life but when I saw people love this account so much, I decided to make it professional. above all, keeping all happy is my motive"

"That's a good thing. What is your favourite place?"

"France" he answered with a fake smile wondering he had never visited France.

"What attracts you to that place?"

"Actually the beauty and of course the Eiffel Tower in Paris" he answered remembering Alvaro's words.

"While travelling, you must have received some tips. What's the best tip ever?"

Cortez's eyes widened, he thought what should he say?Why hadn't Alvaro told any answer to this question? Finally,he answered stammering, "Actually, I-I travel secretly"

"That's right! we are not even able to know where you are supposed to travel until we see the pictures. How do you manage to travel to so many different places?- you don't even stay for a single day at a place!"

"That's another secret" told Cortez finding no answers to say.

"Ha ha.Top secret." said the interviewer facetiously, "thank you so much for the interview.I don't think people will allow us to keep it private for many days. It will be broadcasted in two or three days."

Now, time to return. What was worse was that now the general people were joined by the media and the press. Having to face many intrusive questions, he tried to avoid them however failed, with the journalists shoving their microphones in his face.

He returned home. There, Shayene was waiting angrily to insult him. As soon as he entered the house, Shayne started, "See. I told you not to post it."

"That's none of your business." Cortez retorted.

Hi Forever,

Mailice here with a short review! :D

I am very pleased that we were able to witness the interview in this chapter. I liked how you took so much trouble to describe the journey. You really got the feeling as a reader that Cortez is of very high importance and that many or almost everyone loves him, no matter what he says. In particular, you see this with the interviewer when Cortez is answering the questions.

I really liked how you conveyed in this chapter that Cortez is an influence for many people thanks to his social media account. I thought it was the right amount of information and sometimes very good descriptions and comparisons that you included here.

I also liked the way you presented it later in the interview. It seemed a bit short, but I think if you add a paragraph that there were questions about his favourite food, his favourite show, then you get to the length of an interview very quickly. That way it seems more like he was only there for ten minutes and sat in the car longer.

What I also liked was the way his wife seemed angry at the end. I think it's a very good ending for the chapter and also a good teaser that there will be an end soon for Cortez and his urge to be an influencer.

Some points I noticed while reading:

Cortez's car appeared like millions of bees thronging around the best flower in the country.

I really like your comparison here. That´s a nice way to put it.

The crowd divided themselves into two halves making a way for the cortez's car as if the soldiers are making a way for the King's chariot to move.

This again is a beautiful description and very easy to imagine it.

I think you made a small mistake here. You write that the interviewer is the man who helped Cortez earlier and now at the end it is a "she"?

Have fun writing!

Back again!

There, the crowd which surrounded Cortez's car appeared like millions of bees thronging around the best flower in the country.

Ooh this is a nice image. I can visualize what's happening without it being directly told, which is a great thing. "In the country" doesn't seem to fit in with it though, so maybe expand on that one a little bit more.

A craggy-faced man appeared from the crowd near the window staring at Cortez who was immediately removed by a dimpled woman trying to take a selfie with Cortez.

When I think of the word "removed" I think something has happened and security needed to be called. There was no violence or threats against another person, so "removed" could be adjusted to "shoved away" or "pushed."

The BMW went straight to the garage of the white coloured, five floor building.

Is there anything else to the building? Is it modern architecture? The description is lacking with this because there are so many buildings that have a lot of floors and are coloured white. Description can be your friend if you try to introduce yourself.

What is your favourite place?

This is a weird question to ask. It doesn't fit really with the rest of the conversation they were having before.

I don't think people will allow us to keep it private for many days. It will be broadcasted in two or three days.

Again, I must bring up flat dialogue. The dialogue you want to be aiming for provides exposition. It should involve distinct language and should move the story along. Without that, you’d have description with barely any character dynamics, which are basically needed.

I've read that "dialogue is one of the essential components of strong writing" and many people, including myself, agree with that statement.

And that's it! See you next chapter ~

Thank you so much for the review. By the way, is it better than the last one or at least comparable to that? Or it has detoriated?

I still see a lot of improvement from where you started! You're doing great!

Hey! MapleWay here with a review!

This was a great continuation of your story! I was once again on the edge of my seat waiting for him to mess up and drop his precious secret. It didn't happen this time but I can feel the moment inching closer and closer the more I read.

This sentence worked. The crowd divided themselves into two halves making a way for the cortez's car as if the soldiers are making a way for the King's chariot to move.

Wow, what a picture! I loved the words you used as well. "The crowd divided themselves into two halves making a way for the cortez's car as if the soldiers are making a way for the King's chariot to move." It paints such a vivid picture of what happened! It also shows that they in many ways picture him as a king. The only things I would change here, maybe substitute the word "this" at the beginning for the word "the" and capitalize the "C" in cortez's.

There, Cortez, whose clothes were completely drenched,

I don't completely get this part. Why are his clothes drenched? Is it because of all the moisture from all of the people. And is the pandemic over? Once again this didn't make any sense to me so if you could let me know I would be very happy!

Anyways great next chapter! Can't wait for the next!

Actually, he was drenched cuz he was sweating. The crowd didn't let any air inside the car which made him sweat. And yes, the pandemic is over. I would specify it somewhere, maybe in this one or any previous chapter.

Whatever, thank you so much for the review.

Oh! That makes sense! Thanks for letting me know!
