Their mighty roar so grand,
They alone rule the land,
They have the command.
~
Soaring so high,
They reign the sky,
Only they can fly.
~
Creatures of the past is what we call them.
~
They are as mighty as the mountain,
As swift as the ocean,
And as cunning as an eagle.
~
Yes these are creatures of the past.
~
Their fiery breath scorches the valleys,
They strike fear into the hearts of many,
They are mighty.
~
They go by many names.
~
They have long, sharp claws,
On their large paws,
Along with enormous jaws.
~
These fearsome reptiles are none other than the mighty dragons.
~
They have been feared throughout the ages.
But they are beautiful wondrous creatures.
That should be loved as much as they are feared.

Hey @FlamingPhoenix!
I really enjoying reading through this poem. Dragons are some of my favorite kinds of fictional/mythical creatures, and you have no idea how happy I was when you revealed that they were the creatures.
But I loved your poem for other reasons than fangirling. I think it might actually one of my favorite poems I've reviewed during #RevMo so far. You did an amazing job combining imagery and rhyming. I'll admit I didn't even notice that it was rhyming until I was reading through it again; none of the rhyming felt forced. And even though I never figured out what the creatures were until you outright stated they were dragons, I was able to imagine different possibilities based on what you were describing - which is incredibly important in a poem that's supposed to keep the reader guessing.
My only critique is your use of punctuation. It's not something you necessarily have to change, but you can take some of the commas you have at the end of lines and turn them into periods instead, or drop the commas all together. Here's an example of where a period can take the place of a comma:
Other than that, your poem was incredible! I really got a kick out of it, and I can't wait to read more things like this from you.
Happy #RevMo !
Thank you so much Mage! Dragons or my favorite fictional/mythical creatures too, that's why I write a book about them.
I'm glad you liked the poem, it makes me happy to no you like it!
Happy #RevMo
Hey Phoenix! Love this poem as much as I love dragons. And I really love dragons. They make terrific villains, wonderful heroes/heroines, or just part of a world. I think this poem was really great. You did such a fantastic job in describing them, and all in rhyme! Incredible. I really like how you closed it at the end.
"But they are beautiful wondrous creatures. That should be loved as much as they are feared."
Really nice. Do you think that dragons perhaps actually existed? There are so many books on them and they are everywhere. Like a flying dinosaur other than the pterodactyl?
Thanks for the kind words Shield, (I hope you don't mind me calling you that.) They are really sweet, and make me more confidents in myself.
I do believe there could have been a chance the dragons lived just like the dinosaurs. But you never no. There is always a chance.
I don't mind you calling me Shield at all - I hope you don't mind me calling you Phoenix.
I don't mind at all!
Hey, that's a really good poem. I specifically like dragons a lot and the eat you described them is the wonderful. The way you revealed that the creature is a dragon in the end is amazing.
I am waiting for your next one. 🐉🐉
I'll make sure to tag you when I post another work.
You know I write a book about dragons, I think you might like it, it's going to have a lot of action, and many types of dragons, I came up with.

Hey, Che here for a quick review!
I just noticed a few little mistakes:
I think these are just typo's, but it should be "soaring" and "high"
I'm guessing you meant "are none other...."
I believe that is it.
I really liked the description in the poem! I also liked the structure, but I can actually imagine this more as a song than a poem? I don't know why but I kind of found myself singing the words in a tune, aha
Keep writing!
Regards, Che
Thanks for pointing out the mistakes.
I guess it could be a song.
Hello, Flames!
Liberty here for a review for you! Not much of a review, but whatever. Hope you’re doing well today or tonight, depending on what side of the world you’re on. Anyhoo… This is a great poem! I love the description, the words, the structure of it all! There was just one thing that I felt didn't quite sound right in your wondrous poem. If you look here:
Do you think the bold words’ tense fits in well? Let me explain properly, the tense that you used for the bold word, isn’t the right one… If ya know what I mean. Maybe loved would fit in better? How about you say it aloud, once with loves and once with loved. And then you can choose what sounds best. Anyways, I should leave now, I’ve been talking too much.
Keep on writing!
~Liberty500
Thanks for pointing out the mistake Liberty. It was a little typing mistake, I some times get butter fingers when writing and I make silly mistakes like that. Again thank you for pointing it out I'll fix it right away.
No problem! Tip: You can look over your work before publishing it.
Haha, the funny thing is, is that I do, do that. But me being the person that wrote the poem, i read what I think I wrote down, it's something I have to work on.
Oh okay... TIP: Read your work backwards, that tip I got from an author! <3
Hmm, okay. I'll give that a shot!
I promise it works.
Ooh, this is a really nice poem, FlamingPhoenix. I like the last part. How they should be loved as much as they're feared. Good job! This earns a like. *clicks like*
Thanks you so much for your kind words!! I really appreciate it.
