A Mystery
No one can predict a mystery
Though try as we might
Giving no signals
No left or right.
Forming around you
Your dark or light path.
There are no reasons for this mystery's riddles
But I suppose we all know in the end.
With Fate at his side
We are pawns in an eternal chess game
There is only one to blame.
No need to sleuth
We will all get the truth.

Hey there! The poem was pretty good. I must say it started out better and went down a bit. I got the idea of the poem. However, it could have been expressed in a more vivid way. Try getting your ideas together more and figuring out how to tie the phrases in together. Making the sentences fit well in a poem is hard sometimes. Keep working!

Hello, Cynder! I really like your poem, though I do have a few suggestions.
First off, stanzas are a bit necessary in poetry, especially in poems more than four lines long. Yeah, the formatting on YWS is a bit hard to use, but to easily make stanzas, just stick a period where the space is supposed to go. I think your stanzas should be in between:
"Your dark or light path" and "There are no reasons for its riddles" as well as in between "There are no reasons for its riddles" and "But I suppose we all know in the end."
Secondly, you need to mention 'mystery' somewhere in this poem. That is the topic, anyways. You generally want to be able to read a poem and know what it's about without glancing at the title, as well as being able to guess the title from the poem. You could probably replace one of the many 'its' in this poem with 'Mystery's', which leads me into the third thing that needs fixing here.
Thirdly, you say 'its' and awful lot in this poem. Just as in a short story you can't say 'she' every time you mention a girl, but need to mention her name, you need to say what 'it' is. Reading this poem without the title, you really have no idea what this poem is actually about, though that's an easy fix. Just trade out a couple 'its' for 'Mystery's', as I said above.
Fourth, you need some more punctuation here, as well as to change a few. The place this most hit me as necessary for this was at the line
'But I suppose we all know at the end.'
This line feels really final. The period at the end disrupts the flow of the rest of the poem and makes the reader pause, making the overall poem feel a bit choppy. My suggestion for this is to change that period into a comma, which would really make the flow much better.
I also believe that at the end of the line 'No left or right' you need a comma, and at the end of line 'Your dark or light path' you need a period, because you just finished a thought.
Fifth, the last two lines
'No need to sleuth
We will all get the truth.'
You randomly rhyme. An alternate synonym for 'sleuth' should be used here, because the rhyme scheme does not work in here with the rest of the poem. And a comma at the end of 'No need to sleuth' would be nice.
Sixth (and last!!), is the little stanza in the right bottom corner of the page part of the poem? The squiggles around 'Another Truth' confused me as to whether it was, and you miss it when it's hidden in the corner like that. I think you can do without the '~Another Truth~' line, if it is part of the poem. And then I would make those last two lines their own stanza, but with the rest of the poem on the left.
ANYWAYS, I probably am making you feel like you failed miserably, 'cause that's how I feel after reading a long review as well, but the important thing is that you didn't! I really enjoyed reviewing and reading your poem; it was really good! Thanks for writing, and keep it up!

(the subject is awesome and I love how you describe it. Awesome!)
Wow! OK, one thing at a time. I'll take some of your advice into account because yeah it is a short poem. It needs an edit, I know that. I needed some opinions of other dreams, other ideas. That will fill the gap issue. The "its" thing is also a good pointer. The last stanza is actually a note to my other poems, so if you could check those out. They are all truths, and even though this is a riddle, it is also a truth. Thanks for all the ideas.
I'll do what I can, but don't be too disappointed if I don't change everything to your review. I'm a simplistic writer, and I like to keep that feeling. SO please check out my other works. This one is not anywhere near the best:)
I didn't mean to imply I thought it was bad, 'cause it wasn't, I liked it, so you don't need to do any of the things I suggested, just it would make it slightly better. ^.^ Only nit-picky people like myself would notice the stuff I pointed out, so please don't think it was a bad poem! I really did like it. Yeah sure, I'll check out your other stuff! See ya around!
Heyheyhey a person here to review!
I love your description first of all and also your descriptive language of how you pull the audience in. It's really nice how you keep the rhyme and the flow throughout the poem, also the subject is awesome. It's something I imagine a prosecutor, police, detective would use in her/his head. I believe the last line of a poem should make a lasting impression (whenever possible) and it surely did:
No need to sleuth
We will all get the truth.
That was like a killer line (in a good way ^_^) also I love this line as well:
We are pawns in its eternal chess game
There is only one to blame.
Beautiful written and put.
Keep writing!
Thank you so much, and I definitely will!
Hello~! <3
It was unique, also.
Well. This poem is very nice. I really liked it.
I really loved the metaphors and the last two lines. But the lines that were very powerful to me were:
"But I suppose we all know in the end."
And, "There is only one to blame."
Very powerful. Bravo. ^u^
I didn't see any errors at all. It flowed very nice, too. <3
Overall, this was a very good poem with a nice flow and powerful lines.
Have a great day~! ^u^
