Ball of String

Life is rolled up in a ball of string.

Pick it up in your hand, grasp its soft fabric

throw it up and down, pretend your an animal.

worriless.

.

The ball is manipulated.

It really isn't a perfect circle. you unravel it.

You will see the truth.

.

Throw it on the ground, as small bundle of mess, it is.

You might find some straight lines.

I suppose when its straight.

it symbolizes happiness.

But in truth, its all messy.

.

Random shapes, some make faces.

Maybe there're the people who,

really actually made a difference.

.

You might find a storm cloud in that giant mess of string.

Or a large dog, that just happened to fall on that black stain.

.

You see, life is really just a messy piece of string.

You pull it apart,

through it away,

and well, hope for the best.

I loved the essence of the poem. You managed to articulate the complexity of life perfectly in this one. However here's a little something i noticed-
"throw it up and down, pretend your an animal.'
I think what you mean to write here is 'you're' instead of 'your'.You're is short for you are.
'Your' shows that something belongs to "you" or is related to "you". But that's really not important. This poem is unlike anything I have read in ages. I simply loved it. You are obviously really talented so keep up the good work. Cheers!

Thankyou I appprecite your review, sorry its so late

I absolutely loved the symbolism used to compare life to a ball of string. While the language was great, some of the punctuation and grammar skills might have been lacking a little bit. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this poem. Some things could have been explained a little better.

Once again, I enjoyed reading this poem a lot.

Hey Viv here to do a review. First off, love the poem, really makes one think about life and time and what the string represents.
Now then, just a few things that could be fixed.
1. "it symbols happiness", the word symbols in this sentence should be modified and written as "symbolizes" in the way you're using it.
2. "Maybe there the people who," this is a common mistake, you used the wrong "there". It should be "they're".
and last but not least
3. "and well hope for the best." This line can be changed in two ways, firstly, you can take out the "well" and just make it "and hope for the best." Or, you can put a comma after "well" because that is usually where people pause when they say stuff like that.

Now that I have pointed out everything I need to, I can return to praising you. This is a really great poem. ^U^ Thank you for making it. Bye.

Thank you very much

Hallo! Retro here!

First i'll do one or two nitpicks then talk about what i liked, okay? :)

"Throw it on the ground, as small bundle of mess, it is."

This sentence seems very off. The word order messes with my head and i don't really understand the sentence because of it. I'd work on the syntax and try and make it flow more naturally because as it stands i think it throws your poem off.

"Maybe there the people who,"

I might be very very wrong here but i think it is the wrong 'there'; i think it should be they're?

In terms of grammar and spelling and just general poemness that's it. you've not got a bad littlepoem here. I like the analogy as a whole, and i think you use it well. You have a good collection of ideas, and you show them well. Maybe a tad more imagery but that wouldn't be vital here. You formulate your ideas well, and we get from a to b whilst experencing your emotions. So kudos!

'Ball of String' has insight and its metaphorical semblances to 'life and its ups and downs' are appealing. The poem is not a rhyme but finds a way to be catchy and peppy. Each stanza deals with different phases or aspects of life. The poem depicts that life is not perfect, it has its bits of trouble. The poem is in-depth and needs to be understood in its correct sense.

Although I really liked the poem, I have a few suggestions to improve it:
I'd like to point that your skills in punctuation are lacking and sometimes periods have been used without reason. For example, "I suppose when its straight.

it symbols happiness," the line did not need to be stopped at 'straight' because you continued the sentence . Again in, "It really isn't a perfect circle. you unravel it.", In this line you have used a full-stop but haven't capitalized the next letter.

In the line "really actually made a difference.", you could have done without one of the first two words because they mean the same thing, and the emphasis is lost due to the presence of the synonyms.

Apart from that, I liked the poem. I'd give it a 3/5 rating!! I'd love to read more of your works. I am following you now!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.
