I'm scared of the future.
What if I end up on the streets?
I'm scared of dying alone.
What if I never know what true love is?
I'm scared of a serious relationship.
What if the next guy is abusive like the last one?
I'm scared of opening up to others.
What if they don't like the real me?
I'm scared of my scars.
What if they never disappear?
I'm scared because of my bad habits.
What if I never have the strength to stop?
I'm scared to way home alone at night.
What if I'm the next girl to be abducted and raped?
I'm scared of never finding my identity.
What if I'm always lost in confusion?
I'm scared of the high expectations set for me.
What if I let everyone down?
I'm scared for my grandmother dying of cancer.
What if she stops responding to treatment?
I think it's time we all realize that fear is embedded in everyone.
What if it's time to stop hiding from it and unveil it to someone?
I believe that once our fear is revealed and it can be conquered.
What if the person you told helps fight your fear?
I know it's time to fight our fears.
What do you think?
Everyone has a fear.
What's yours?

Hi, Chips here with a review!
The title of your poem was intriguing as fear is something everyone has gone through at one point or another in their lifetime. I liked how you structured it, with the fears followed by the questions. It appeared almost as thoughts which the character is thinking.
"I'm scared of the future.
What if I end up on the streets?
I'm scared of dying alone.
What if I never know what true love is?
I'm scared of a serious relationship.
What if the next guy is abusive like the last one?"
I also like how you named common fears people have which are relevant, from the beginning of your poem, which made for a strong opening.
I do have a few suggestions which may be useful to you.
"I think it's time we all realize that fear is embedded in everyone."
This line was a change of direction, thus I think it should have more prominence, as a beginning of a change. It was a little long so, I think there should be a comma added after the word, "fear", to create a pause for the reader to breathe, or think rather.
"I believe that once our fear is revealed and it can be conquered."
Similarly, here I think the word, "and" isn't needed. Instead a comma would work after the word, "revealed".
Overall, good poem. Keep writing! I hope this review was of any help to you.

Hello
This is a really great piece of poetry. I really liked the certain structure you created by listing the fears. You have also made it very personal, which is always a great quality for a poem.
I have connected to a lot of fears and questions that you bring up, and I think a lot of other readers will as well.
One part that stood out to me was "I believe that once our fear is revealed and it can be conquered.". I don't think that "and" is necessary if what you are trying to convey is that once the fears are revealed they can be conquered. Another way to word that sentence could be "I believe that once our fear is revealed - it can be conquered.". However if there is a literary purpose in "and" that I don't notice, you shall keep it that way
Otherwise I think that this is a very thoughtful poem that has a very distinct mood and rhythm.
Great Job!
Hi! I am Anna-Grace and I just want to say first of all, wow. I personally love anything that makes me feel something. That's what I search for in pieces of writing. Yours definitely had that.

I love your progression. With the what if's between each line. and I love the end. If a writer can not only express their fears, then stand up to them, and invite the reader into the battle? I love it.
Every fear on that list is on mine as well. A lot of them really hit home for me. I live in the shadow of fear daily, and I think that it is time that we quit hiding from them and face it, and I think you did an amazing job conveying that. Please keep writing because you obviously have a gift. I am excited to read more of your work! Keep it up.
Wow! I thought this was a really thoughtful, powerful poem. Many of these fears can be related to. I for one thought felt that the expectations one really spoke to me. I liked the question followed up by a response formatting, as the question spoke generally, and the response spoke on a more personal level. Awesome poem!
