Goals
  • revise my novel!
  • (12 chapters) x (~2000 words/chapter) / (30 days) = 800 words/day
  • take a look at the wonderful reviews people have left & finish replying to all of them
  • write >= 10 encouraging comments
  • reflect at the end of the month (Reflections badge let's go!)

ROBERT. OMG. HE'S EVEN CUTER THAN I IMAGINED.

Also, no wonder Jasper is constantly sleeping. He looks tiiiiiiiired, lol.

All the best with your Camp goals, Spearmint!

Also, can I just say I don't know what those three egg like structures are at the bottom of the image but they are extremely cute?

Spearmint, your banner is so adorable! That and the title itself make me so intrigued :D It also seems like we have similar word count goals--though revising is a different beast for sure! Good luck this Camp NaNo and with all your revisions!

Great goals @Spearmint! I noticed you've gone ahead and put up a 'target list' for both your NaPo and Camp NaNo (the organisation!!) I'm also loving the illustration. :D

Tentative To-dos:
  • look through reviews for overall revisions (April 1st)
  • revise half a chapter each day (rest of April)

4/1: planning

Yay Camp NaNo time!! =D
So instead of actually revising today, I planned out what to revise... hopefully it'll help me stay organized?? >.>

Overall things to work on
  • Conflict (add hints of the errors throughout + emphasize seriousness)
  • Characterization (make sure characters' actions are consistent with their characters; check Snoink's reviews)
  • Character growth for Sunny (to make it more of a stand-alone novel)
  • Add coding images (maybe also examples after each chapt?)
  • Fix translation thing (Javaland uses English)

Chapter 1
  • Sunny forgets her questing backpack
  • Delete the code in the window thing
  • Why Sunny thinks fantasy adventures are real
  • Pause and look around for Robert
  • Establish size of rock at the start
  • Describe Robert better
  • Clarify why he helps Sunny
  • Check out lull at the end (see Kate's review)

Chapter 2
  • Describe buildings better
  • Have Robert try to explain how the errors got stolen
  • Basically, raise the stakes!
  • Describe Adelia
  • Add Robert's reactions
  • Don't need to explain * and /

Chapter 3
  • Clarify error descriptions
  • Sunny's reactions
  • Clarify String cheese joke

Starting from tomorrow, I shall revise half a chapter a day. :D

Looks like a good plan @Spearmint! Planning out what to revise is def a good idea. I did that for a novella a while back and actually got quite a lot done.
