I'm doing my silly story for Camp NaNo. I expect it to be absolutely ridiculous, and I will have as much fun as I can in the process.

I have personally come to find that with less stress/things to do, my creativity has really improved compared to when I was actively going to school. I’m thinking of a lot of ideas and details and have begun writing my silly story
Spearmint yay, that's awesome!! =D <3

I finished reading the first book that I started reading in 2023 and it was kind of disappointing. The ending was especially so. There really were some points that shone through, but the rest fell flat for me.

The next thing I do after abandoning a 17 hour audiobook is check out a 22 (24?) hour audiobook that’s so far probably one of the driest stories I’ve ever heard (and the exposition is literally too long but that’s classic books for you…?) I just wanted to read it because the premise of it inspired a story idea of mine before, but idk
I may just move on to another one at this rate. I am checking another one out, but I’ll still give the 2nd audiobook some more time to see if it gets any better.

When you get 62% through a 17-hour audiobook but are thinking of quitting because it just doesn’t seem like it’s getting any better (~6 hours left) 😫

No picture for this #laelcooks , but the thing I tried making this time was boba.
I like the taste of cold-brew tea better than hot-steeped tea, so I cold-brewed some black tea in the fridge in a 2:1 ratio of tea bags:cups of water. (If you want it stronger, maybe more tea bags?)
The hard/more tedious part is boiling the tapioca pearls. If you get the quick-cooking types, then it's pretty easy and quick. But if you use ones that take just about forever (like me), you're going to be standing at the stove for a long time. I recommend you look up how to cook tapioca pearls online. This time, I used medium-size white/clear type. After they were done cooking, I put them in a bowl of cold water so they won't stick together. Make sure you stir while they're boiling as well.
Instead of doing a sugar syrup, I just put a little bit of honey in when putting the drink together, to taste. Probably the easiest way to do it is mix it in with the tapioca, then pour in some tea and milk. Since I made refrigerated cold-brew and I shocked the pearls with cold water, I didn't need to add ice cubes. I think I did an okay job, but I just need to get my techniques down better. I'll try again sometime soon.

One of the highlights of working is being able to see so many birds outside the window every day

I’ve been thinking about really (really) getting back into writing recently, so to ease back into it, I thought I should just let myself entertain a silly idea/joke first, then I can get into my more serious works afterwards. I am internally cackling right now just thinking about my silly idea. It’s going to be so bad (intentionally) and I am here for it

#songoftheday and poem it’s based on. My favorite part is “Never met - nor never parted / Never been so broken-hearted” T.TphpBB [media]Spoiler! :
