my goals:

-<>-

Image

-<>-

→ Last year I did fifteen poems, so I wonder if I can do more than those? Maybe 17 or 18? Maybe even 20 if I have the energy!

→ I decided I didn’t want to go with haikus because that’s easy and I don’t want it to be easy, so I’m going to go with any sort of properly formatted poem, just not… free-verse. Because I want to follow a pattern and get more experience and practice. <.<

→ I want to play around with formatting a bit too, like different colors, fonts, moving the words around, possibly even word art! Probably not though, because that makes things difficult to understand. So I’ll make a poem on Google Doc and format it the way I want it and then c/p that image onto the forum post. Hopefully, that’s not too difficult. xD

→ Lastly, let’s not focus too much on aesthetics and actually focus on the poetic part of NaPo. But aesthetics still matter to me and I’ll make sure each post is nice to look at, not too plain and bland, and not too over-the-top.

Ooh, I love your opening poem, Lib!! c: I think it's fun and playful how you incorporated symbols to replace some of your letters. It's also pleasing to look at, along with your starry background! ^_^ OH, and I also really love all of the 's' sounds you have in the second line, and the closing line is comforting and empowering <333 I loved reading this, and can't wait to read your future masterpieces!! :D

poem #2 - sijo

Image

Spoiler
Once again, a new poetry form! A sijo. :)

Each line is supposed to be 14-16 syllables each. Line one is supposed to be introductory, the second one is supposed to be developing, and the last line is supposed to be some twist, like an ending, I guess.

I enjoyed this one actually, so probably expect another sijo in the future sometime. >.>

It’s great to see less common poetry forms like that sijo, I’ve never heard of that one before! And the art/images you’re choosing are perfect to complement the poems. I love the aesthetic! <3

poem #4 - cinquain

Image

Spoiler
How come cinquains are way harder than they look!? Goshhh it took way too long to put down 14 words. ;-; Not my best poem, gotta admit. xD

Hiya Lib! Ooh 'rocky' and 'airy' are a nice contrast, and quite unexpected, too!

"deeds will stay" from your sijo is also a great line, and like alliyah, I think you've just taught me a new poetry form :D Great work with this and keep going <3
