hello there! it's been a bit (several months) since i last popped on, but i realized i was very much overdue for a little life update after checking a PM and then swinging on over by my wall. <3
i've spent this past year working at the teaching job i got last summer and it was AMAZING. i had an awesome group of students for my very first year, and the units i got to teach were great, too. my coworkers are seriously fun to hang out with, too. i obviously hoped to make some friends, but i never expected the level of camaraderie we've ended up getting.
i've kept up with writing and rping off the site, though my roleplaying is mainly with irl friends now. i'm insanely lucky enough to have a couple of close friends that are ALSO obsessed with writing and coming up with stories together. you can take the mage out of the roleplay section, apparently, but NOT the roleplaying out of the mage. outside of rping, i've been chugging away at a novel, and very occasionally dabbling with a research paper that i'd love to submit to a scientific journal at some point.
i've even started eying some graduate school programs for teaching, though i won't be applying to any of those until probably early 2025.
overall, life has been great! even though i'm not active on here at all any more, YWS still had a major impact on my life, and i was really touched to see all of the messages on my wall from the past few months. i don't know when or if i'll ever get back to being on here, but i really wanted to stop in and say yws was the same awesome community it always is and made sure i didn't feel forgotten. <3

I see others had the same thoughts as me lol, but-- thought of you this RPMo, Mage :'D Hope you come back someday! You'll probably be happy to know that the RP forums are thriving and that a lot of cool new RPs have been started. Still feels different without you, though. I hope you're doing well! ^-^

Thinking of you this role-play month <3 It's been a blast with the new folks who've taken over your niche, but I remember when you were the main one creating role-plays and joining all of them, so it feels a tad strange not seeing another Mage RP, or seeing you around discussion threads.
