As a secretary squire served Knight @Lumi another Dr. Pepper, the COMMANDER entered the hall, instantly silencing the faint gossiping whispers.

"Knight Lumi."
The knight stood up slowly and sadly saluted.
"I see that you are in need of yet another accessory. Squire, fetch the chest of girdles."

The squire brought out a small chest of drawers and removed a paper wrapped girdle.
"Oh I am sorry my lord but these are the pink ones. Give me just a moment to find the right box."

The commander found this was a good time to comfort the knight who was now weeping on the sofa.
"So...did you uh here about those outrageous trials they've been having in the outer kingdoms?"
"I don't care about life anymore."
"They're trying innocent women as witches and executing them if they're the same weight as common fowl."
"Why did she have to rip that badge away from me?"

The squire returned this time with a Green Girdle instead and placed it on the coffee table.
"Finally you got here. Knight Lumi, I present you with this badge as a consolation for losing a beast to Knight Dino."
"Thank you sir. I'll take my leave now, if you don't mind, but I'll be back soon."
"Of course you will."

As he was leaving, a new user entered the hall, wishing to become a member of the service of Knights.
"Welcome young traveler to the Great Hall. Please go and make a log, then return with ten reviews from Green Room Works to claim your spot among the knights. For now you shall be known as Squire @DragonNoir. Good luck to you on your first quest."

Knight Nite, the Knight of Nite was enjoying the festivities following the clearing of the Green Room. Ah, how wonderful it was to be back in the castle celebrating a victory after what seemed like an eternity of slaying beasts alone.

However, she was in for quite a shock when she woke up the next morning. In her wanderings for the past two winters she had done good work, but her records had gotten destroyed in the rain. Many moons of work had been sullied, so she did not know what beasts she had or what honors she might be able to claim.

So she mounted Nocturne and rode deep into the forest where she had buried her conquests, painstakingly sorting the coveted Green Beasts from the important (but not quite as rare) All Literary Beasts. She rewrote her log into a nice shiny new book (that is supposedly waterproof and mudproof to prevent future accidents) and raced back to the Great Hall to proclaim her victories.

"I have earned my Chest of Gold with coins as numerous as the stars in the sky! Along the way I slew several beasts terrorizing some "Unorthodox Thieves" and so earned a Village."

Link: Knight Nite, The Knight of Night

(and yes I really did go through all of my reviews and check for which ones were in the Green Room, which I legit hadn't logged since January 2015).

Knight Nite, the Knight of Nite (@niteowl) received several strange looks as she began to parade the disintegrating bodies of Green Room Beasts through the Great Hall to prove her honor and how long she had fought with determination, knowledge, and loyalty, but soon the Knights that stood by realized that each zombie-like corpse represented one step closer to a peaceful future, and began a quiet cheer.

"Knight Nite. Knight Nite. Knight Nite. KNIGHT NITE!"

Knight Nite retrieved her spoils -- the CHEST OF GOLD and the VILLAGE BADGE -- and rode to establish a village that would be filled with glory and comforts as numerous as her sacrifices. She would meet and had met a warm and happy homecoming.

Knight Ink strode into the Great Hall with a scroll listing her achievements. "Now," she declared, "I am eligible to receive my full armor!" With that, she flashed her scroll:

All hail the Golden Goose!

When the Green Room is Conquered you may claim the golden goose! I have already tamed mine and keep it well fed, so another night must come to spy their own as this our After Watch demolishes this Green Room!

Knight @Aley, beware the mysterious bronze geese that also populate these halls! They appear whenever the Green Room is conquered, but the Golden Goose only appears when the Green Room is clear at the end of a Review Day. That said, BRING THE BRONZE GEESE if you'd like, and we can smith a new rack of swords for the new Knights.

Knight Ink (@PrincessInk ) -- your armor request has been submitted to the black smith and should arrive within one or seventeen business days. In the meantime, here's another one exactly like the one you ordered to tide you over. And the Knights of the Green Room raise a rousing HUZZAH to christen the FULL ARMOR in spittle!

Knight Hannah, looking thrilled and wild in the light from the torches that kept the Great Hall dim during the night hours, rushed in and shook the closest slumbering Knights awake.

"Knight Attack (@PenguinAttack), Knight @Iggy! Knight @Lumi, Lady Lizz (@LadyLizzLovelace)! I've done it! I've done it! It's a small one, sure, but it's a TOWN alright! Look, look at the deed (deed) if you don't believe me!"

MAIN CHALLENGE 4 - RESTORE THE LIBRARY

No one had expected the storm. For weeks upon weeks and months upon months, the most severe weather the Knights' Castle had experienced was heavy downpour, which was really quite alright because they could always use another bath.

But this day was different. Around dusk on the night of the storm, as members of The After Watch sat out front on benches to watch for Green Room Beasts, Knight Ink (@PrincessInk) noticed something strange. The sky had been tinged with a dark, brooding yellow.

"Hey, looks like a storm's coming," said Knight Kayla (@Nikayla). "We'd better get the horses inside."

"I'll pack up the banners," volunteered Knight @Aley. "And I'll make sure the books are safe, though I wish some Knights would pick up their own books after fun fictional adventures," said Lady Lizz (@LadyLizzLovelace) with a sour smile. Knights Tallygirl (@tgirly) and @RippleGylf rushed to help.

The Knights set to work preparing for the weather, and then settled down to bed as the torches burned low.

But just before dawn, the worst of it hit, and Knights throughout the castle were woken by a hair-raising crumbling roar. Knight @Dino was the first out of bed, running down the corridor still half asleep.

"Knight Dino, wait up!" called Knight @Lumi, grabbing the candle from his bedside table and chasing after. Within minutes, all knights, from the oldest Knight Attack (@PenguinAttack) to the newest Knight @VegasLights, were gathered around the rubble of what had once been the Library Tower.

"What do we do now?" whispered Knight @Castor.

Knight @BlueAfrica and Knight @Hannah looked at one another and nodded in unison, because there was only one thing the Knights could do.

"We rebuild."

Step 1 - Clear the Rubble

Not sure if this counts since I'm still a squire, the other review wasn't done by another knight, and is 26 minutes adequate time? apparently I was taking a while to write the review , but anyway...

Squire Writer trudges gloomily into the great hall. "Alas! Whilst I was struggling in the Green Room to earn my knighthood, a beast was stolen straight from beneath me! The humiliation of it is unbearable. The worst of the matter is that the slayer of the beast was not even another knight, but a simple wanderer out on adventure! I produce this proof of the terrible tale!"

No. For the last time, I don't write on dragons!

I am the Night Rider! Wait, I mean the Night Writer! Ah, no. Well, I do write at night, but... I am the Knight Writer of the Green Room! There we go. :D
