Knights of the Green Room Great Hall

Squire @DragonWriter22 flew in from the dormitory tug-o-warring a Green Beast with another KNIGHT, but upon hearing his plea, Knight Lumi's heart was both stirred and discouraged. Having just recently lost a Green Beast to a fellow KNIGHT himself, he truly wished to bestow the GREEN GIRDLE upon the SQUIRE, but as he ran to DragonWriter22 to bestow his own GREEN GIRDLE upon them, Knight @Hannah stopped him, sadly shaking her head.

Knight Lumi sighed and nodded. "We apologize with all the profuse sorrow imaginable, Squire, but this feat must be claimed from Knight to Knight, and great curses would be upon the girdle if we were to play with the sands of time."

Lumi turned and mournfully returned to his place at the banquet table with his sorrowful goblet of Dr. Pepper.

Knight Ink stepped into the Great Hall and fluttered her hummingbird feathers so fast they emitted a rumble that announced her arrival. "May I receive my JOUSTING LANCE?" She dropped a pile of scrolls on the banquet table and hovered to the side, waiting:

Ink's Log

I have been siezed upon by the burning desire to become a knight!
I understand that I must prove myself worthy, then return with a log of my victory. I shall set off at once!

From amidst the pile of scrolls, Knight Hannah jumps and shouts:
"We've got another one, boys! Pull th'jousting lances out!"
And from the cabinet on the far side of the Knight's Great Hall,
the Knights did pull the lances, and the lances all did fall.

A black one rolled across the floor, hit Knight Ink (@PrincessInk) in the shin.
A silver tumbled, bounced, and cracked the vase the flow'rs were in.
A red lance balanced carefully -- a dancer on his toe,
then swung and knocked Knight @Castor flat; Knight Kayla (@Nikayla) cried in woe.

But out from all this messy-mess a brave knight stood to fight
and gathered lances in her arms by grasping left and right.
Knight @Aley calmly gathered and then, calmly (as you do)
told Knight Ink with a friendly smile, "This orange one's for you."

When Squire @Falconer saw this sight, she took it all in stride
and pledged to bring back 10 Green Beasts and show them off with pride.

I want to become a knight.

Lumi dove from the Great Hall Balcony and flapped his arms to slow his fall, landing on one knee. Then, he rose nobly!

"Lo! Let @Midnightmoon be SQUIRED."



Knight Lumi bowed delightfully and clapped his coconut shells together to make his next announcement. "Squire Midnightmoon! To become a KNIGHT, thou must venture into the GREEN ROOM and REVIEW TEN WORKS! To count as a Green Room Review you must be the First or Second Reviewer on the piece.!" He handed Midnightmoon the coconut shells and nodded. "To keep track of these reviews, please make yourself at home in our forum and create your own Knight's Log where you may keep track of your conquests!"

He raised his sword. "Fight on, Squire! To glory and honor! Clamor on!"

"I shall, with all my heart" newly squired Midnightmoon said gravely.

Lo! Squire @Midnightmoon! While you may edit your victories into that post, it would be much easier to create a log thread here, as all other Squires and Knights have done! For, believest me, once you shoot for your greater rewards, you shall want your own thread!

"Knight, @Lumi! I have completed my ten quests! Am I now worthy of my knighthood?" Squire Keep asked in anticipation.

Keep's Knight Log

THE SUN SHONE DOWN on the Green Castle that day, and there was much rejoicing and clapping of Coconut Shells as Squire Keep traveled into the Great Hall where Lumi sat with his Goblet of Ye Olde Dr. Pepper and Hannah lay in the Commander's Chair, napping.

As the CLAMOR of Coconut Shells filled the Great Hall, Lumi rose and downed his Ye Olde Dr. Pepper, and stood at attention to meet Squire Keep at the Commander's Chair. @Hannah awoke!

"I have completed my ten quests! Am I now worthy of my knighthood?" Squire Keep asked in anticipation.

Knights Lumi and Hannah reviewed the log, impressed by the reviews! "YE OLDE YES!" they shouted in unison!

Knight Lumi grabbed the scepter from the COMMANDER'S chair as Squire Keep knelt before him. "I hereby Knight thee in the name of The Knights of the Green Room! Huzzah!"

This has been nagging me for a while, so I wanna be a knight

CLAMOR ON, SQUIRES!

After a sojourn in the land of Storybooks, and a considerable amount of time filling the land with their works without actually contributing to the cause, Knight Biscuits has remounted their horse and ventured back out into the green fields. This was at first careful, hesitant. Then as exams got closer, the green forests were a wonderful place to hide and be productive in a way that didn't involve memorising parts of a Christopher Marlowe play. Knight Biscuits charged forward, all the way to green room review number 150.

I humbly ask to be rewarded with my chalice

LO, HAD THE COMMANDER ordered the goldsmiths of the Knights of the Green Room to fashion a Jeweled Chalice for someone, yet Knight Lumi was hard-pressed in his deductions to find out for whom the Knights toiled. It was finally, upon receiving a refill of Ye Olde Dr. Pepper that Lumi was handed a goldsmith's box with a Knight's name emblazoned on the cover. Upon reading the missive from THE COMMANDER, Knight Lumi slowly nodded.

The Goldsmith acknowledged his acknowledgement. "Ask not for whom the goldsmiths toil, for we toil for they."

"Be it so!" proclaimed Knight Lumi as he rushed into the great Hall. "Knights! Clamor not for a moment!"

There was a gasp among the Knights and Squires and chained Green Beasts!

"Knight @BiscuitsLeGuin hath fought hard and bravely for their Jeweled Chalice, and today we honor them by presenting the foremost and latest product of our GOLDSMITHS' labor!" He presented the Jeweled Chalice to Knight BiscuitsLeGuin. "Knight! Choose your favored drink from our plentiful fountain and make merry with us at the table!"
