Finding Nate the Ghost

A few years back, the wonderful YWSers set out to try and find @/Nate the Dragon. Now, with Spooktober coming around the corner there is word that @/Nate is now a spooky ghost that we need to track down in time for the upcoming twentieth birthday of YWS.

Calling all YWSers to join in the quest to find the beloved owner of this sight! Many spooky shenanigans shall ensue but I have no doubt that the wonderful people of YWS will prevail!

Onwards we go, roleplayers, writers, poets and beings of all kinds!



A note on tagbooks: Tagbooks are a special kind of storybook. Instead of making a character profile, the character you write for is yourself - and other members of the site! Your goal is to tag as many users (using the @ symbol and their usernames) as you possibly can in your posts, while also telling a story.

Tagbooks are usually wacky, random and filled with memes, puns, and fourth wall breaks. If you're lucky enough to be tagged, or just want to pop in with a post of your own, you're in for a treat!

It was a beautiful night, the night on which the mysterious Spooktober dawns and kate was busy polishing up her new name plaque to put on her quarters in the roleplay ship. Clouds covered the sky as she stepped out finally. They were almost ready to set sail. Captains @Spearmint and @SilverNigh with some help from the ever dependable @Omni were nearly done. They just needed a direction.

@WeepingWisteria @Ley and @ScarlettFire appeared to have been working on that because they arrived with a map that was shaped suspiciously like a potato. Probably Ley's work.

"We have a course to head towards! I convened with the ancient bananas and @Carina as well as the batfish of @Shady. The path is clear," Ley announced.

Kate grinned as she walked up to them. "Then it shall be done. We'll set sail tonight. @Nate awaits."

Alarms were sounded all over the port alerting the other crews. @Iggy could be seen readying the gen lit crew alongside @IcyFlame. Their newest member @RavenAkuma was in charge of carrying everything on board it seemed while the others @Roxanne and @NadyaStatham were busy setting up the course.

"Let's go folks! Come on!" announced Kate loudly to the rest, startling the poetry team who were busy stuffing what looked suspiciously like boiled oranges into a large sack. Would the infamous geese be helping in this hunt? Kate had no clue but @alliyah was the expert. @Meshugenah @Plume @Que @Quillfeather @EllieMae @LadySpark were all helping as well, no doubt cooking up some sort of poetic fun.

Soon the ships were setting sail, bearing down Roleplay Canal, @looseleaf and the resourceful people of the resource crew joined in @OrabellaAvenue @LuminescentAnt @Lovestrike all scrambling around with maps of their own. It appeared they would be inking their own paths as well adding onto the wisdom of bananas, potatoes and batfish. Perhaps with this, some geese and possibly a monkey or two this hunt would prove doable.

Joining in on the roleplay action @JazzicusMaximus @RangerofIthilien @Glitch0Ghost2024 @HildegardHope @winterwolf0100 were running about, planning spooky adventures of their own.

A chicken army was starting to be amassed with the help of @Hkumar an other bird related YWSers like @Avian and @Griffinkeeper. @Snoink was also spotted nearby using the power of pigs this time to aid in this legendary hunt. @chrysanthemumcentury was also among the chickens and pigs, using poetry to help keep them from jumping overboard. @starlitmind was probably in there too somewhere and maybe even @kattee.

There was a crack of lightning and Ley cheered from her position near the front of the fleet. "Zeus has blessed our voyage!"

@keystrings proceeded to strike up a lovely tune, @soundofmind and winter helping in with some singing to get a little party going. @Liminality and @ToastK were also joining in on the singing along with @fatherfig.

@APoltergeist as the resident expert on ghosts was communing with the resident alien @AlienPoetry and horror experts @vampricone6783 and @AkiraEliza to find out more about @Nate the ghost. @LadyMysterio and @TheMythMaster brought their mythical and mysterious expertise to the fore as well. @yoshi was somewhere in there bringing chaos.

@Razor was spreading funny YouTube clips around to keep the YWSers all entertained as we set out, and @22Midnight could be spotted nearby, practicing some swimming in case it turned out to be necessary..

Okay I think you're running out of people to shoe horn in

Kate gasped. It was the infamous @MxNarrator.

"You're here too! Oh this is a great sign of things to come!"

Gengar sat somewhere on the deck of the boat. Being a ghost themself and an enjoyer of all things spooky, there was no way that they would miss out on such an adventure. In fact, she was writing a fanfic right now for the spookiest of all shows: the indie web series Spooky Month.

She couldn't wait to see how this spooky adventure would play out. Hopefully, there would be mischief and shenanigans--and if there wasn't going to be any naturally, then they would create it themself.
