kotoba(言葉)
This word means,, well, “word”. But I really like this word because of its kanji and meaning.
言(koto) literally means speech, or speak and 葉(ha) means leaf.
So, kotoba literally means the leaf of a speech, treating speech/language as a branche where words (leaves) are the things that compose it.
This word is a beautiful example of how close to nature the Japanese language is, and how literal of a meaning some of these words have with fascinating origins.

i might be working on smt *wink* also, thinking of doing like a review forum for me to actually review stuff. Mostly poems and short stories tho since im lazy and can’t read more than like 10 words bc yt shorts destroyed my attention span TwT

First thing’s first, english isn’t my first language. It’s my dominant language (google it ig) but I do speak another language (3, actually) pretty proficiently as well (any guesses? lol). However, as I’m more comfortable with english, I am doing really shit in school rn, mostly bc the language I’m learning in isn’t my primary language but also bc the education system is harder here (and somehow more messed up) than the US. So, I’m going to the U S of A.
This isn’t like 100%, more like a 98.99% but that’s a chance im willing to take lol.
Im not even 18 yet and i’m already going to a foreign country for college rn so I haven’t had much time to come on to this site or even write for that matter.
Also, I’ve been learning python these 4 days bc of a school thing where we developped video games. And that was really draining as well, since I have basically 0 coding experience yet I was the one who needed to understand and teach all the materials to my classmates.
However, I really love this site and there’s still things I need to make and want to share with everyone! I will still be reading poems, short stories (and campNaNo updates for July’s camp) but I might be less active.
In any case, hit me up whenever u want, I still check PM and notifications pretty frequently, and I’ll be drawing and writing time to time for a while ig.
Hopefully I can come back by september lol (btw this doesn’t mean I’ll be away from commenting. It just means *less* commenting, reviewing, and posting for that matter.)
