If any of you have been keeping up with me I am SO sorry for being such a slow poke. I just finished school last month and have been trying to settle for a bit. I AM BACK TO WRITE A NEW CHAPTER! So here it is and I hope you enjoy. (Comments/Reviews greatly appreciated.)

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

"Hello 911, what is your emergency?" Said the operator.

""T-T-there's been an attack. My friend is badly beaten and is unconscious, we need help right away." I stammer.

I quickly rattle off the address of the cottage and the operator sends an ambulance to get Cole. I turn around and see him hunched over in fetal position, his features strangely peaceful. His nose; however, is crusted with drying blood and he has a gash in the corner of his eyebrow. His face looks swollen and red.

I hear faint sirens in the distance and I turn around and wave them over. As the paramedics jump out to situate Cole on a stretcher, I am approached by a cop in his early 30's.

"Excuse me miss, were you here to witness the attack?" He says.

I glance down at the name tag displayed over his pocket on his chest. Gibbons.

"Officer... Gibbons? I'm sorry, I was just walking to come visit my boyfriend when I heard him scream, I ran as fast as I could, but when I got here all I saw was a man dressed in black sweats running away from Cole, who was on the floor bleeding." I said.

I don't know why I lied, probably because I still don't want to believe what I saw. The officer digests my words and jots them down on a pad. He stuffs it into his pocket, thanks me, and walks away. I dash toward the ambulance right as they shut Cole in.

"Wait," I screech. "I need to go with him. He has no one else." The lies keep coming.

The paramedic looks slightly annoyed but opens the door and helps me in anyway. When I look around I see Cole on the stretcher in the corner, hooked up to an IV. There is another paramedic standing over him taking his pulse and checking his vitals.

"Do you think he is going to be okay?" I ask.

This paramedic, a young man, probably in his early 20's sends me a warm smile.

"Oh yes, he should be fine. It looks like he has a mild concussion and he is going to have some nasty bruising on his face, but other than that he should be up and and back to normal in a few days."

Relief floods my features and I can't help but smile back at him.

"Can I.. Can I sit next to him?" I ask.

"Sure, here ya go." the young paramedic says as he offers me his seat.

I take it, muttering a thank you, and grasp Cole's hand tight in mine. It's warm and I bring it up to my lips and kiss it. Before I know it the ambulance comes screeching to a stop and I hop out of the back. Both paramedics get Cole out and wheel him inside. I walk behind them until he is situated in a room. Once the paramedics and nurses leave I walk into the room and can't help but cringe at the sight in front of me. Cole's body looks dwarfed on the bed he lays upon, he's got stitches on the cut in his eyebrow and his nose is swollen. He's got an IV in his right hand and the other has a pulse monitor on his finger. As I shuffle toward him a balding doctor wearing green scrubs and a white lab coat comes in.

"Excuse me, miss?" The doctor says.

I spin around, not expecting him, but I'm met with kind blue eyes and a warm smile.

"Sorry to startle you, I'm Dr. Alexander, I need to assess Cole here," he starts.

"Oh no, I'm sorry, go right ahead," I say.

"May I ask your relationship with the patient?" He questions.

"Uh, I'm his girlfriend," It comes out like I'm trying to convince myself of the fact, but Dr. Alexander just nods anyway.

He starts toward Cole and I back up, allowing him space to assess him. Once he's finished he explains the Cole has suffered from a laceration near his eye that has been stitched, but got lucky because his nose will only be badly bruised. I thank the doctor and am left sitting next to Cole, his hand tucked inside mine. After a few minutes I watch his eyelids flutter for a few seconds before they finally open completely. He looks panicked at first, but then catches sight of me and his features visibly relax.

"Skylar," he croaks.

"Hey, Cole," I say back.

"I'm so sorry for bringing you there. I- I didn't know-"

"Stop, Cole. Don't worry about it. All that matters is that you're okay." I say, stopping him from what I knew he was about to say.

"Is it just me or does this feel like deja vu," he asks.

I think back to just weeks before, my own body, practically lifeless in the same bed, staring back into the same beautiful blue eyes. It actually makes me chuckle.

"What are you laughing about!?" He says

For some reason that makes me want to laugh harder, but I bite it back and smile at him.

"We really have a knack for getting ourselves into trouble now don't we," I respond.

"Huh, I guess we do," He says, sounding a bit dumbfounded.

A nurse with pale blonde hair and a megawatt smile walks into the room flipping through a clipboard. Her nameplate reads Amy and when she looks up she speaks.

"Oh Cole, you're awake! Wonderful. It says here that as long as your vitals are stable for the next few hours you will be able to be discharged tonight!" She's practically beaming as she says it.

"That's awesome, thanks so much, Amy." Cole responds.

I can't help but wonder where he will go when he leaves. Certainly not back to that cottage, with that man, his own Father. I take a look at his arm, the bruise I found at the beach staring back at me. I turn away quickly, hoping Cole doesn't catch me staring. When I look back I'm relieved to see that he didn't notice, or at least acted like he didn't.

"So," I start "I was thinking, tonight I could sneak you into my house" I say with a mischievous grin.

Cole looks back at me, a shocked look on his face.

"Sky, you sound like me now, the whole breaking and entering thing," he says.

We both giggle.

"I learn from the best" I retort.

We then settle down and watch a movie on the hospitals TV they have situated across from Cole's bed. Before we know it almost three hours passes by. I get up, stretch, and look back at Cole who's sleeping peacefully. I start to walk out of the room before almost colliding with nurse Amy.

"Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry!" I stammer.

"Oh don't worry honey, I'm glad I almost ran into you!" She replies back, handing me a clipboard with some paperwork

"I need you and Cole to fill these out for me and then he's all set to go home!" She finishes.

I politely thank her and then head back to the room. When I walk back in Cole's still asleep. I quietly walk towards him and when I get close enough I lean and give him a gentle peck on the lips.

"Wake up sleepyhead," I whisper across his lips.

He stirs slightly, then finally turn and looks toward me.

"Oh man, I fell asleep! I'm sorry!" He says.

"Don't be," I reply.

"I have the release papers" I say, handing him the clipboard.

He fills out the papers in record time and pushes the call button for the nurse. Within a minute Amy is walking back into the room, smiling as usual.

"All finished?" She asks

"Yep" Cole responds, handing her the clipboard.

"Thanks so much for your help." I add

"Oh It was my pleasure, have a great night." And with that she walks out.

I give Cole his clothes from earlier, which are slightly stained with blood. Who's I'm not too sure of. When Cole finishes getting dressed we walk out of the room hand in hand and head outside. It's almost 10pm and the only light is from the buildings in the city. We hail a cab and in no time are stopping right before my house.

"Here's good," I tell the cabbie.

I don't want the noise or light from the cab gaining the attention of my parents. We hop out and throw some money at the cabbie who then speeds off. I look at Cole who grabs my hand and we start to run to my backyard. My yard is complete with a huge grassy area overlooking a small pond, a patio with a vined trellis over it complete with some lounge chairs, a table, and of course, a grill. The trellis is how I get to my room whenever I sneak out. I hoist myself up and Cole follows.

"You're crazy," he says

"I know," I respond with a smile.

Once we reach the top I open my window and climb in. Cole's next and I pull him through and he lands on the floor with a thud.

"Shit," he says while rubbing his head with his hand.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry," I whisper "Are you okay?"

"Yes, yes I'm fine" he smiles.

I walk to my closet, pulling out a large t-shirt and begin to change, forgetting about the boy standing just a few feet away. I awkwardly cover my body while I change and hop into bed. When I feel it shift I turn around.

"What the hell are you doing?" I ask incredulously.

"What does it look like?" He retorts back.

"Oh N-" I start but am met with Cole's warm lips. He tastes of cinnamon and something uniquely Cole.

"Shh, go to sleep." He says.

I stare back at him blankly, then settle in the crook of his arm. Whatever, might as well. Then before I know it I drift off into oblivion.

Sup!

Back to do another review! hope you're having a great day or night depending on what side of the world you're on. Alright. Starting now.

Yes! I love this chapter! It's much longer and Cole gets released on the same day. To be honest, I think you're kinda rushing things a bit. Maybe. I'm not sure if it's just me or maybe others too. But anyways.

""T-T-there's been an attack. My friend is badly beaten and is unconscious, we need help right away." I stammer.

I have no clue why you have that extra quotation mark there. Just pointing it out.

"Officer... Gibbons? I'm sorry, I was just walking to come visit my boyfriend when I heard him scream, I ran as fast as I could, but when I got here all I saw was a man dressed in black sweats running away from Cole, who was on the floor bleeding." I said.

0_0 Sky, you lied.

"What are you laughing about!?" He says

LOL. Also, you forgot the punctuation mark at the end. You forget it all around the chapter quite a lot, so you may wanna go through it and toss in some punctuation marks.

Before we know it almost three hours passes by.

"Passes" doesn't quite make sense. I think if you had written "pass", instead, that would've worked much better.

"Oh don't worry honey, I'm glad I almost ran into you!" She replies back, handing me a clipboard with some paperwork

Period at the end over here. :)

"Oh It was my pleasure, have a great night." And with that she walks out.

"It" does not need to be capitalized. No capitalization --> "it".

That's it with my review! It was great fun reading this, and I hope this review helped in some sort of way. Of course, if you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

And as always...

Keep on writing!

Hey hey!

So, a lot goes down in this chapter and some of my questions are answered!

So, first off, they are the cutest couple I have ever seen... even though I've never actually seen them. But they are so cute and I can just feel their love when I read about them. This chapter shows how much Skylar really cares. She was now in the position Cole was in just a few chapter before. This chapter really shows how their relationship has progressed since the beginning and how much they have really grown fond of each other.

I think this chapter shows that not only is Skylar adventurous but I think she is also a little cautious. All she really wants is for Cole to be safe... so I think that that is why she "invited" him over to her house. I think that this shows the Skylar is a little nervous about where Cole comes from and would do anything to keep him safe.

I can also tell that Cole is falling hard for Skylar, if not fallen completely. I can just imagine how he looks at her, and what thoughts he thinks about her when he's alone. I think that Cole is the guy every girl dreams of. I know I have said that in one of my earlier reviews, but I need to emphasize that again. He's amazing!

I am in love with this couple and your story. Your detailing is perfect, and you have managed to really bring these characters to life. I think that they are so realistic and have a real story to tell. So, yeah I can't wait to read more! You are really good at that haha.

Stay classy and write on.

Hi! there gossipgirlxoxo :)

Since I haven't read the former chapter, I was at lost of their current situation. But as I continue reading, slowly I was able to grasp the story. It was well-written, I must say. The accident, their facial expressions, body gestures &, most especially, the setting were clearly described that I seem to imagine the whole scenario *claps* Even though, I don't know their whole story I was touched & filled by romantic vibes because of their thoughtful gestures. The line I really liked & found really sweet was this:

He looks panicked at first, but then catches sight of me and his features visibly relax.

No offense, ok but, for me, that line was filled with comfort.

Keep going :)

Thank you that really means a lot to me. You could read the other chapters if you want (:

This was so good :)

Wow!! You are a very good writer! This good, very well spoken. How old are you? Whatever your age, your excerpt of a story here-YOUR story- is articulate-sounding, and great, I got kind of a warm, comforting feeling inside while I read the main character and Cole's dialogue as well as the end. And that's good to give your audience/and or reader an actual "feeling" rather than just reading a story. :) very nice! Keep it up.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm 18 (: I know that when I read a story I always want it to connect with me and make me feel the things the character is feeling, so I always try to convey that in my work! Have you read the other chapters? If not you should check them out, if you liked this one I think you'll like the rest (:
