Feet walking in the sand
left tracks of just one man;
Blood and sweat was found
with each step
Leaving promises to those undeserving.

Through the days he was beat
his tracks held tears that fell from his cheak.
Holding the cross with our sins;
he stood and carried it 'till the end.
"See don't you see?
this is the one the jews call king."
He cried for those who cursed him,
who laughed and spit on him.
"Can't they see that father, that you love them?
can't they see i am doing this for them?"

Feet running in the sand
he is waiting to grasp your hand.
Love and grace are in his steps
still leading to the undeserving.
When he rose again
more praise began
Though deserted by his friends
he still came back for them

Could i stand by the one who died for me and hold his hand?
could i look into his eyes without crying?
Could i see his love and take it in?
or fall on my knees because of my sin?
Could i see the reason why he died
and pretend that i am alright?

Feet walking in the sand
two people hand in hand
Love and hope in their tracks
leading to a love that will always last.

p.s. im kinda new to this but this poem was something that came first out of frusteration towards God...but this is a reminder of all the good things he has done.

Wow, thanks. As you can see, your the first person who commented this piece. I wrote this when I was 11 I believe. Sadly, I think I've lost my touch. Maybe its just my pride...:(
But thank you for your comment.
I appreciate it.

Another great piece of work Babygirl it really is nice to see this type of poetry on YWS. I for one believe that great writing can come out of great emotion rather it be frustration, anger, hate, but most importantly love.
The flow was fantasic and the message was clear as crystal.
I do advise some spell check but overall it was flawlwess.
Keep it up!
