I need fixing

E - Everyone

In Poetry

Loneliness has broken me.

Every day I dig myself deeper,

and I look up and I wonder why,

I wonder why I see such a faraway sky.

Some day now, the walls will collapse.

I'll buried down here with my thoughts.

***

I don't know how to talk,

I don't know how to be a friend.

I've gone so long without it now,

that I've forgotten how to handle happiness.

My every minor victory,

leaves a taste so bittersweet.

***

I'm sorry for wanting more,

I'm sorry being unhappy with this much.

I'm broken and I don't know who can fix me.

I'm a moth attracted to the light,

I'll fly into it until I die.

***

This is my cry for help,

my fake happiness is gone.

To think I almost tricked myself,

tricked myself into thinking I was good.

I almost let myself dream again.

***

I'm sorry for the emptiness I cannot fill.

I'm sorry for being such a failure.

Please believe me when I say I try.

but I'm losing sight of the reason why.

it seems every summit I reach was just a hill,

and the mountain stands before me once more.

***

I'm broken, my pieces have been scattered,

kicked about by the well meaning crowd.

I can't put myself back together,

I don't even know if I want to.

I don't think I would ever be the same.

***

I'm sorry for being so awkward.

I don't know how to be social.

I lose myself in my stories.

I bury myself in the fiction.

I'm through with hoping.

***

I'm sorry if I hurt you,

I've forgotten how to be kind.

It's all an act,

I'm a nothing trying to be something.

I feel every compliment is a kind lie,

and every insult is an undeniable truth.

*

This isn't a cry for attention.

This is a confession.

A distress beacon.

A plea for help,

I need fixing.

I am here to review your really looooooong poem.
Its depressing, sad but too realistic. I can feel it as I myself can relate to it . The very first stanza is so true so touchy..
The feelings you carved in this penning are indescribable. And the way you end it is really so true when a person really needs someone.
Keep writing .. loved your penning.
Blessings !

hey there,
so lets just say that it was a really long poem you wrote but it was definitely good. it was deep and depressing but at the same time freakingly good. i loved the thought you put behind it and yeah i totally appreciate your work.

"I don't know how to talk,
I don't know how to be a friend.
I've gone so long without it now,
that I've forgotten how to handle happiness.
My every minor victory,
leaves a taste so bittersweet." the problem you mentioned in here is faced by many people and i could personally relate to it.

i also like the way you ended the poem, by telling you are not writing this fr attention but because you seriously need someone.
overall it was a good poem and i loved it.

great job!keep on writing!

I really liked this poem, your word choice really helped to convey your message and the feelings within in without using a lot of words. It really made poem simple, yet complex in the emotions. I enjoyed the ending because it gave the whole thing a nice strong closing, wrapping it all together.

Poetry is my cheap means of transportation. By the end of the poem the reader should be in a different place from where he started. I would like him to be slightly disoriented at the end, like I drove him outside of town at night and dropped him off in a cornfield.
