This was entertaining to read, just kinda cute and funny and quirky, with its own simple little personality. I think it's kind of lacking in something that I can't put my finger on, but it's not too important anyway. Just work on your punctuation, because you put it in some funny places now and then.
My lizard has been speared with a thumbtack.
I don’t know why my little sister did that,
Maybe she was feeling a little out of whack.
All I know is that as I sat. (Enjambement- no stop- could have been used).
I saw my little lizard with a black tack In his fat back.
He is a human to me, (I do like this idea, it adds some kind of emotion to the poem)
Why couldn’t she let him be?
I thought, “My poor little Rick.”
Good thing he’s plastic.
It is a fairly random subject, and it is easy to read in its simplicty. However perhaps better choice of punctuation and a more subtle style of rhyme could have been used.
