Stars.

In Poetry.

Stars do strain in pain to gain,
The light that lights the night in fright'
And not sight do we need,
What a mighty light will light the night?

Lightning fights in the night to gain the right,
The right fight there is no such thing,
We fight and bite to gain the light of god,
Nought can stop sight but light,
    The light of god.

Fear is not god to hear by the dear,
So cheer my dear and do not fear,
It is a mere tear but not of fear,
It is of the sun of cheer,
So cheer and do not fear,
My fear to hear thee dear.

Wow, this is very rhyming.

I like it, at first, I though it was about Stars (U.S.A.) But you pleasantly surprised me with a fight between Stars and Lightning.

I find this very original, and this must have taken some time.

I wish to see more, please, more!!!

The last stanza is a little confusing, but I read over it and I understand.

Overall, it is a lovely piece of work, and I would like to see more like this.

I hope to see more!

Thanks,

Thank-you Pegasus very much for the review.

I have never read a poem like this before, its really interesting. I tip my hat to you being able to continue the repetition without losing interest as i know a lot of people do. This poem has a real quirky feel which is really refreshing and enjoyable.
I did get a lil confused, but re reading was a help. Keep up the good work!

Thank-you Louis. :D

Wonderful! Short but nonetheless wonderful! The repetition of the same sounds make it pleasing to hear and read. It can be a little hard to visualize and understand what you mean at times but that is to be expected with poetry. All in all, great work! :)

Thank-you Heart. :D

Hi there, aouther2b here and very excited to reiview this piece. Here we go.

What I liked:

1. The rhyme. All of that "ight" and "ear" rhyme might seem overwelming to some readers, but for me it works perfectly here. It isn't placed nonchalantly, it has a purpose in every spot you put it, thus giving the poem more meaning as well helping with the flow of the poem.

2. The idea in the first two stanza's. You discus the so called fight of the night. Though I am not exactly sure what they are truely fighting for, I don't really care because of how you described the fight. It isn't emotion really that I sense but a strong meaning.

What I didn't like:

1. The last stanza. You bring in this person you seem to care a lot for, but for what reason. The last stanza doesn't really connect to the other two. Comparing the person to the stars or lightning or the fight would have made the poem better rather than leaving me wondering what the purpose of this other person is.

2. The ending. I don't really get the ending. Like I said you end it with this person you care about and your fears, but I don't get the connection to the first two stanzas.

Overall:
This is really good. I like its simplicity and rhyme. I loved the meaning you clearly put into. Work on connection and then it will be perfect. Great job and keep writing.

Well I can see all of your points all of them were good sorry about the mistakes.
