In Tronlin Chronlicles

Humans must stay humans, that is what they preach.

They didn't believe in dividing the species.

When earth was colonised by intergalactic beings, things don't stay the same. Times were changing, hybrid beings that were half human and half intergalactic came into existence. For a time they were seen as odd: different and not human nor intergalactic. There was peace between humans and these new beings; even the intergalactic sought peace. They agreed to give them rights and respect.

However, their rights and respect for the hybrids did not last. Protests started, as well as hate campaigns. Both the humans and the intergalactic called for war against the hybrids. An enemy of an enemy is a friend. That's what the protesters called for, extinction of the hybrids.

With war waging against the hybrids, communities were split and destroyed, slowly ripped apart by their different ancestors.

Our story starts with a boy, fifth generation hybrid, fifth generation being hated. He is at the age to join the army, to fight for his unique race. Fight for a war they will lose; it is time he made his decision: fight for life of his people, or die with cowardice. They preached the need to fight as if it was a religion.

Quint didn't understand his life.  His different coloured skin made him an infidel to both the humans and intergalactic beings; his large horns and speared hands made him hated. He was forced into a war destined for failure.

                                                                   -------

The dark black lines covering Quint's body pulsed up and down as his tension grew. He had somehow slipped into this city unnoticed, as he had been asked, travelling into the human colonies. He had his large brown coat's hood thrown over his horns, covering his black striped face. His red eyes glued to the man in front of his large built body. Being half human he was always attracted to what used to be his people. He would sneak out of his city, travel for days to escape his home, to find out why they hated him. He finally had the chance to do it as a job.

Quint wanted to understand the truth about why humans hated him, his people. He had friends who were doing the same as him; some even ventured into the intergalactic colonies. Many never came back.

The hybrids were seen as ghosts, blending in with the different species, slowly studying them. Humans and the intergalactic were scared of them. Quint wanted to know why.

He raised his foot slowly, swaying it left to right and studying the large animal dung he had just trod in when he had stopped behind a large line of people. He scraped his foot on the dark pavement, slowly admiring the unique boots the man in front of him had on. His large pants covered the majority of them, but their colour still shined out underneath his pants.

Quint turned around, pulling his coat's hood further down and  moving slowly while taking small glances up into the towering city.  He watched ships go by and people running around screaming and laughing.  Skyscrapers stabbed into the clouds, while the noise of the city hummed with the sounds of traffic. It was a beautiful place, yet he was tasked with causing its destruction.

His smile quickly faded as he though about this. He was tasked with terrorism and he didn't like it. Yet he still stepped forward, leaving his bag behind.

He watched from the distance, seeing the flames burn into the sky; he heard the screams and cries for help. He hated his job, he hated what he was doing.

Yet, they did the same to him and his people. He turned around to face his smiling commander. His light complexion almost made him look human, except he had four eyes and claws for hands.

He had completed his first mission, now he was being pushed towards the end task.

Heeyy!! :D

Content wise, I find no issue. One issue I have with science fiction is that it all has very similar stories and is fairly repetitive, but you're managed to avoid this.
The only issue I have is the lack of issues I can find. You used a large number of semi colons in the beginning and I was bursting to find one misused, but you disappointed me and used them all correctly.
Well done. On to part two!

Thanks for the review, why not leave a like ( only joking :)) yeah with the semi colons I maybe to use them a bit to much :)

Okay, I don't have time to do a long review so I'll just give you an overview on the content rather than concentrating on every single spelling and grammar mistake in your piece.

Whilst the actual skill that has gone into this piece is indeed very good, the genre isn't something that I would usually pick up. However, that is my own opinion and it's your work so do what you think is best.
Like the reviewer who was here before me, I particularly liked your description of him although I suggest that, in order to take your work to the next level, you add sounds and smells to your descriptions so that readers feel as though they are there which will improve your work immensely.

Hi! Cricket here for a review!

Seeing as I've decided to not exactly review your other novel, I decided to take a quick peek at this novel of yours, Quint.

And I'm glad I did! This seems like the kind of story where the MC is faced with the problem that the entire world is out to kill him. Not a bad idea, really, but a monster faced with the problem that the entire world is out to get him, is a fairly common one. Fairly, may I stress. Still a good one, if I'm seeing this right. Make sure that it's not the typical story of monster faces world, and then in the end the world understands him and accepts him for what he is, or he defeats the world and goes into hiding. Bleh, hate that story line. Make it original, if that's what it is.

While I did enjoy the story line, I found that there was something off with your grammar. True, it has really improved from the last story that I reviewed for you, but I found one thing that I thought I should mention. Your semi-colons. Don't get me wrong, you used most of them correctly, but it seems that you use them waaay too often. Semi-colon's are cool and all, but you have to use them sparingly, or else they'll clog up your writing and get confusing. The thing with those little beasty's is that they do full stops, and often times you don't want that. Every time you see a semi-colon or feel the urge to use one, try and replace it with a comma or start a new sentence. Try it out for a little while. When you go into those full stops and stuff, it doesn't do for a well connected sentence. Hope that makes sense. ^ ^

things didn't stay the same.

Bit of a tense change here!

They agreed to give them rights and respect.

However, their rights and respect for the hybrids did not last.

Hmm, this didn't make much sense to me. Alright, it did and it didn't. If you look at it from one way, it does, but from another... it doesn't. Rights aren't given to you! You always have your rights, it just depends on who is willing to acknowledge them is all. At least in my opinion. Soo, I always found that if you are a being of any sort, then you have rights, each to his own level of course. A dog isn't going to have the same amount of rights as a human, obviously. I'll have to see how you work this out, or if you just leave it this way, but that's my take on it. :)

What I must say I enjoyed the very most, was your description of him. He seemed like quite the monster when I was reading it. Horns, red eyes, striped face, and so forth. Almost reminded me of this movie called Hellboy. Guy looked just about like that, and the world hated him for it too. xD The world is a strange place to be judging off of looks, but that 's what we like to do best.

OK, that's it from me for now! I hope this helped you out and sorry if I got some things wrong with the story line and stuff. I can't seem to make heads or tails out of anything this morning. ;)

Keep writing!

Wow, jack that's great :) It almost makes me think of what is going on with IS at the moment.
It makes me feel really sad (which means it is really good). Its like Quint feels that if he only knew WHY they hated him, then he could understand where he belongs.
I only saw one very small mistake. In your fourth last paragraph it has 'though' instead of 'thought'.
Over all great story :) Good job. Can't wait for more.

Hey, Jack!

I see you've got another idea, and an interesting one at that. Onto the review:

Men were always meant to be men.

Women were always meant to be women.

They didn't believe in dividing the species.

Not the best thing to compare with human/alien hybrids, as man and woman are of the same species. Why not animals? This can also help you describe the hate the hybrids get as well.

On the second paragraph: an enemy of an enemy is a friend? I didn't know that the humans and intergalactic s were enemies, even though Earth was colonized by the intergalactics. You can further develop and describe this relationship, maybe even make it one of your plot devices e.g. the relationship between the humans and intergalactics was shaky; humans still resented their conquerors, but they hated hybrids more. The intergalactics despised those with tainted blood, as their God M'unSkha felt the same.

You also need a reason why there is such hostility towards the hybrids.

And between the fourth and fifth paragraphs, I would mention that the boy's name is Quint more clearly, like just add in "named Quint" after "our story starts with a boy."

Overall, it's a good start. I'd like to know what's gonna happen next.

Keep it up,

-Haven

This story is really great. Your title really got me interested. The word choice was great and the idea was awesome. Your story idea is so creative. It's really hard to come up with plot for a sci fi story. Your word choice was very descriptive, one of the most important things books need to have. I did notice towards the end when you say " He raised his foot slowly, swaying it left to write..." There is a spelling error. Did you mean "right" instead of "write"? But other than that minor mistake, the writing is amazing! Keep it up!

This was intergalactically and humanly awesome!
This work is a hooker. Humans, Intergalactic residents , and Hybrids, all of them are just so fantastically amazing. The description of the Hybrid, Quint, and how he wants to belong to either half of his identity, to the humans and to the intergalactic, and how they hated Quint's identity all the same.

his life is not pretty much ideal but I feel this character's heart. He seems like a boy without any friend in the real world, like someone who does not belong in any clique group at school. Maybe like someone who cannot relate to anyone at work or something like that.

You just did a superb work.
By the way, that smiling commanding officer whom you revealed was just awesome. He is like a parent who's happy to see that his son/daughter did what he wanted to do or like a boss who is satisfied by an evil mission/task that was just accomplished (well, that's what you just portrayed, right? oh me, oh my! Forgive my insolence in literature, I should be more comprehensive next time)

All in all, the work was great. Keep writing and enjoy it till your last breath. ;)
