I’ve written most of Episode 1, with small chunks missing from its four parts. I think I began laying the groundwork for the next episode(s) as well.
Bryony let out an exclamation of disbelief. “Angel, why do you have to be so du—daring sometimes? It’s nearly pitch black out there. You literally could have had your family’s security escort you back. I’ve told you for, like, the three years that we’ve been here that it’s dangerous to be walking around off campus alone at night!”
“Calm down, I’m fine,” said Angel, waving a hand. “The gangsters that were fighting Jhémes and then chasing me earlier to the hotel totally got tired of waiting around for me, so they weren’t there when I left.”
Bryony’s jaw dropped, then she closed it with an almost audible snap. She let out a long sigh and groaned, throwing herself back on Angel’s bed with an arm over her face.
“I’m so ready for that camping trip,” she said.
