As a pantser, it's incredibly disrespectful how spending a little bit of time putting real thought into the bones of a story before you throw yourself into a draft makes the whole process so much better.
You will NEVER catch me writing a full outline before I write a draft but I guesssss I will develop a real premise that supports developed characters and a real plot instead of trusting vibes and the four scenes in my head. Gross but true.this is about my regular nano book. shhh i still haven't finished my camp book
IcyFlame For all my planning, my scenes like to take a completely different turn from what I was intending anyway...

BluesClues in my case my planning for Groundskeeper still left me in the lurch when I got to the climax, so I say it's a scam!

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Only a week to go and you're not sure what to work on? That's okay! Bounce around your projects, do some planning, anything goes!!
All vibes no plot? Who cares! Camp NaNo is about having fun, so give it your best shot. You don't have to share it and you can always change it later.
Busy July coming up? Me too! Set whatever goal works for you and don't stress.
But no matter what - please tell us about your project!! I want to cheer you on <3RandomTalks wrote:
Hey Campers! There's only 7 days until the start of Camp and for anyone who's unfamiliar with how Camp NaNo works, here's a quick introduction so that you can also join in on the fun!
Camp NaNo is basically a more relaxed and laid-back version of NaNoWriMo where writers get to set their own goals and work towards achieving it during the month. During Camp NaNo, not only do you get to choose your own goal, but you also have the freedom to choose what you want to work on. So whether its a new project or an existing one, whether its a novel, script or short stories - Camp NaNo is the best time to get those creative juices flowing!
So if you haven't already done it, make sure to get your thread started in the Camp NaNoWriMo forum! You can use your thread to plan or plot your projects and once Camp officially starts in July, you can post your progress in whichever way you choose (through wordcounts, snippets, etc.). Feel free to browse through others' threads for inspiration and share encouraging comments to keep each other motivated throughout the month! There's also some exciting badges you can win just by participating!Happy Camp NaNo everyone!
