E - Everyone

In Poetry

Some people think it's just a time killer,
To me it is more, it is a passion.
It is some thing that makes my life chiller.
This occupation just keeps me dashin'.
I have been doing this since I was three.
It is the building blocks of my foundation.
It happens to be a part of me.
This past-time is a superb illation.
All of these moves that are strung together;
Just end up flowing as one in my eyes.
It comes as naturally as the weather.
While I'm doing this my soul always flies.
This grand choreographed scheme,
Is a lot harder than I make it seem.

YAY!i like this, but im kinda really slow and stuff and i dont think i know what a sonnet is.

A sonnet is a poem of sorts that is suppose to have a certain number of syllables in each line. At least I believe that is what it is, I don't quite remember because I had to do this for a school assignment last year.

This sonnet should be divided in stanzas, otherwise I wouldn't notice it if there was no title.
Anyway it's great and I like it. No one should expect it to be some professional sonnet with the right amount of syllables because it takes some time to build something like that. Keep writing and good luck in school :)

This is a pretty pretentious sonnet. The speaker is building themselves up and then self proclaiming their abilities. A sonnet consists of 140 syllables - 10 syllables a line because it is suppose to be written in iambic pentameter; however, this consists 128 syllables. It is not written in iambic pentameter. This is a poem shaped like a sonnet, but is not a sonnet. My suggestion, read some Auden or some Wordsworth or something.

i like this a lot. it's a nice sonnet :)
i like the words you've used, they lift the poem. it makes me smile (i dont know if it's supposed to do that xD) and it's just a generally nice poem :)

"to me it is more.." makes me think what you mean. it rather.. sweet? i like how it flows and makes sense unlike other poems, i think i know what your going on about! :)
i think that you have talent, keep it up! i think you should write more like this :)

(sorry if the review isnt very good, this is like my second.. ) :)

It's a perfectly fine review :) and thank you so much for your thoughts on this piece!

I like it! I love your simile "It comes as naturally as the weather." Its really hard for some people to write sonnets so congratulations on that! I overall think its a good piece and can't really criticize it! Good work though!

Thank you! And I didn't even realize I put a simile in it haha. :)
