Slit ch 8

"Well uh, hi you must be the leader of this little group,"I said carefully to the person standing right in front of me. He had a nasty look about him he was clearly taller than both Ryan and I. He wore a sleeveless black shirt and had what seemed to be a frohawk. He hair was actually dark blue but it was clearly dyed to be that color. He looked at me with black hard eyes. 

"So you're that lizard crossbreed that I've been told about, and you the feline crossbreed you're both a lot more skinny then I thought, I would think that a fellow carnivore crossbreed would be thicker and more intimating than this" He said, each time he would open his mouth I caught a glimpse of his large sharp teeth, they were somewhat like mine but they were thicker and seemed like they were made for cutting.

"Well since I'm a lizard crossbreed it would factor in all types of lizards and lots of them are omnivores, so I'm not really eating meat constantly like an animal" I replied. I heard Gizmo chuckle soon after

"Oh my god why would you say that?" I heard Gizmos next to me.

"Hmm funny guy huh, are you always this funny in the face of your savior?" he asked me

"Well, normally I'm not but I guess being kidnapped against my will kind of brought it ou- at that moment I was interrupted by a quick punch to my face, the force was so much that it knocked the chair that I was tied to over. At that moment, I started to taste my own blood as I laid there on the floor. 

"I don't like funny, this is a serious thing we do here. We save lives" he said looking down at me

"You have a weird way of saving lives here, forcibly capturing crossbreeds against their wills, drugging them and now punching them?" Ryan stated calmly to Gizmo

"We've done more good than harm kitty" she replied with a smirk.

"The only thing I've seen you do is harm!" Rya snapped back 

"Watch you mouth pussy or you're getting the same treatment" he threaten as he looked down at Ryan.

"Oh pussy, yea I get it because I'm a feline crossbreed man that was so clever" Ryan muttered. At that moment, Ryan was also punched with enough forced to knock his chair over. It was hard to tell but since my hair was in the way as laid on the floor but I could see that his nose was bleeding and his glasses laid broken on the floor next to him. I could tell by his breathing that that punch really hurt. I could hear Gizmo sigh deeply as he walked over to me and started to pick up my chair.

"You guys are so weird, you were both originally just extreme cowards running away from us and now you're both back talking a guy you really shouldn't be back talking," Gizmo said as she set me back up. My hair falling in front of my face.

"Now then I want you boys to think about this logically, do you honestly think you'll make it out there? The world wants us gone and it won't stop until every one of us is dead" he said as he started to pace around.

"We... don't want to be a part of this" I declared weakly.

"Why because you want to live a 'normal life' yeah sorry that's not going to happen. I would have honestly thought that you would want to avenge your mother" he stated as he continued to pace around, he clearly trying to goat out a reaction.

"My mom wouldn't want me to waste my life with this just to get revenge"  I replied as blood started to drip from my mouth. That statement made him grit his teeth as he started to walk toward me winding up for another punch. Gizmo had just finished putting Ryan back up and noticed it and quickly jumped in front of him.

"Woah woah Baron calms the hell down, how the hell do you expect these two to work with us if you keep laying into them huh?!" she demanded. He sighed in frustration

"Take them to the cells! Gets this two out of my fucking sight!" He commanded as he stormed off into another room. Gizmo then rolled her eyes and turned to us.

"Excuse our leader's pissy personality please, as you can see you basically our age and let me tell ya between us he's not really cut out to be the leader just yet," she said.

"So you care to tell us why that punch happy fish is leading?" Ryan questioned

"Our former leader was his older brother, he was pretty cool and would have probably left you alone, well before he got killed by a 'stray police officers bullet' and before he got killed he wanted Baron to take up the mantle. Now then let's get you guys to the cells" she said as she took a step and noticed something on the ground, she got down on one knee and picked it up "oh no Ryan your glasses broke. You wear these to blend? You don't actually need them right?" she questioned as she put all the remains in her jean pockets.

"Yea I actually do I'm nearsighted" Ryan responded.

"Well that suck, " She said as she started to drag both of the chairs we were tied to with ease, I guess Ryan was right about all crossbreeds being a bit stronger the humans. After a minute of walking, we finally made it to the cells. It looked like these were recently built as cells didn't really fit this place. She placed us directly in front of the cell as she closed it. She then pulled a key out of her back pocket and started unlocking our chains through the cell bars. "This is honestly a really bad idea but I'll be honest I feel bad for you guys and the least I can do is let you guys be a bit less restricted in a cage"

"So how long do you plan do keep us here?" I asked rubbing my wrists.

"As long as it takes until you two corporate" Gizmo replied as she finally unlocked both out hands and feet "I'll bring you guys some food soon, be sure to be a good bunch of hostages now," she said as she turned and walked away and we were left alone with each other. Ryan started to blow the blood from his nose.

"So um... what are we going to do?" I asked getting up to look around

"Don't know, I can smell multiple crossbreeds in this area and they all probability smell us to so sneaking out is a no go" he explained as he finished blowing his nose "So this is the base that fucking rabbit goes to"

"You're still not calling her by her name?" I asked 

"No Luke! I'm not calling that whore by her name she's the reason we're here they're no ifs no and's or butts she's the reason, there is no other crossbreeds in the school but us I've checked. She's the root cause of the spike in my paranoia because I was afraid of this happening. She's the reason we're in this position and I hope one of her stupid rabbits dies in her arms!" He shouted.

"Can you please not talk badly about her, she's really nice" I heard a familiar voice next to the cell as I saw Willow walk into view from the side.

"Oh it's you," I said not making eye contact

"You know her?! who is she?" Ryan asked quickly

"She's a girl that I met that ugh... Drugged me" I responded 

"Great, just out fucking standing if you're here to lure Luke in with your wild feminine charms then you'll have to get through me" Ryan declared much to my embarrassment. His comment actually made her face go red a bit.

"No, I didn't come here to do that. I wanted to see how you both were doing, I saw you both get punched and noticed the blood so um... You two alright? " she asked with her hands behind her back.

"Besides being in a cage held here against my will I'll live" Ryan answered sitting back down on his chair.

"Thanks for the concern and all but I'm fine, " I said

"Well, that's good. Look, guys, I know how you guys feel, I've been there" Willow explained

"Really? they chase you down like animals and lock you in a cage too?" Ryan said sarcastically 

"Well no but-

"Then you don't know how we feel. My god Baron did you send here to understand with us? If so it's not working!" Ryan said making sure the last phrase could be heard by a lot of the people in the building. Willow's expression looked a bit more panicked

"Okay okay, I'm sorry I don't know how you all exactly feel but I've got an idea. I originally didn't want to join this and all but after some convincing I finally join and it was the best decision I've made yet, honest" she said with her hands out her voice actually cracked up a bit.

"So Luke did she sound this brainwashed when you talked to her before you got drugged or?" Ryan questioned me

"No she sounded just fine like a normal person, I don't know what happened in front," I said.

"I'm not brainwashed" Willow protested "I'm just not good at convincing people in a situation like this"

"Hey Will," Gizmo said walking back to our cell with a tray full of fries "Good work with getting this lizard for us. Now guys here's the food, a bunch of french fries didn't know what anyone of you liked but everyone loves fries" She said as she put the tray filled with fries on the in front of cell.

"You didn't spit into these right?" Ryan questioned as he picked one up

"Pretty sure you would smell my saliva in them", she said as she smiles and took a fry from the tray and eats it. "and also I fixed your glasses as she pulled glasses out of her pocket. Ryans' eyes widened a bit at seeing his fixed glasses.

"They look just like before. What gives, why would you fix them?" Ryan question as he reached through the bars for it as Gizmo pulled back.

"It's was a real pain in my ass to fix this you know, we don't have a whole lot small screw and screwdrivers around here and it was a bitch in a half to actually screw in. But I did it because you're in a shit situation and I wanted to make sure you can at least see in it, So what do you say?" She asked Ryan waving his glasses around.

"Give me back what's mine?" Ryan said plainly with his hand out. Gizmo chuckled at that and handed his glasses to him.

"Oh you are an adorable little kitty, now sorry to interrupt your conversation Will but Baron wants us. Since were the ones who captured these two he wants us in the discussion" Gizmo explained

"About what? I just started talking with them can't it wait?" she asked

"I don't know maybe he's going to give us a present like maybe a salary cause lets be honest, not every can get a job like you Will now come on, you know how much of a baby he can be, now come on" she said as she started walking away from the cell.

"Alright, I'm really sorry again Luke I swear I will make this up to you tomorrow,"  Willow said as she started walking away trying to catch up with Gizmo "And Gizmo please don't be like that I told you about my library hiring"

"Wait what! tomorrow? you're keeping us overnight?!" I yelled as I grabbed the bars desperately 

"I'm not working a library Will, my freaking farts are loud enough to get me fired from that place" Gizmo replied. And then they left my field of sight, I looked back at Ryan as he kept eating the fries.

"This is really bad you know, my parents know I'm a crossbred and won't call the police but since you just found that out recently your dad probably doesn't know either and he'll probably call the police and police equal government. They'll file a missing person report and they'll eventually track us down here, find out were all crossbreeds and make sure a bunch of 'accidents' happens to us" Ryan explained still stuffing his face with fries.

"Shit... shit what time is it? how the hell can out of these cages?!" I panicked as I started rattling them with all strength but to no avail I looked down at Ryan to see him still eating "My god how are still calm about this situation!?" I yelled.

"Oh, I'm not calm at all. I'm actually panicking super hard on the inside but I'm also trying to figure a way out of here, Also can you not yell I have sensitive ears. Anyway, I've gotten the sent about every crossbreed in this warehouse. I've gotten the sent of at least ten but they're scattered around the place so we may not have to deal with them. Six of them are upstairs on the second floor and four is around the area where we got punch which should be near the entrance. Right now, that fish, the dog that bug girlfriend of yours and someone else. I don't know what type he is but he seems big" Ryan said sticking more fries in his mouth. 

"that Fish? who are you talking about?' I asked still rattling the bars.

"That asshole called Baron, the dudes a shark crossbreed hence 'the fish' also your girlfriend is a spider crossbreed. Not surprised you can't tell yet, also can you keep rattling the cage" he explained

"Well I don'r really have your sense of smell" I said still rattling the bars "why do you want me to exactly?" 

"Someones comming right now quite"Ryan explained and just like that man walked infront of the cell to the side, I remember him actually. He was one of the men chasing toda.

"Hey Lizard you better quit it with that damn rattling everyone can fucking hear- at that moment Ryans nails grew pointed, he then quickly stood up and slipped his hands though the bars and wrapped his hands on the back of his head digging into his skin. With all his might he the pulled the man head nose first into the bars. The impact was strong enough to leave his nose croked and bleeding. Ryan qickly noticed that he was consious, he then quickly slamed his head into the bars two more times, the sound of his skull smashing echoed through the hallway as he flopped to the flooor unconsious, blood dripping from his head. Ryan then dropped to his knees and started to going throughs his pockets.

"Uh Ryan..." I said nervously as I looked at the man laying there lifelessly on the floor as the blood dripping from his head started to form a puddle "is he alive?"

"What? yea of course he's alive, all crossbreeds are very hard to kill, a broken nose and a cracked skull shouldn't be a problem for this thug, honestly I wanted to kill him I would have ripped out his throat. Now please have keys please have keys" he said as he continued to and finally pulls a key from his pocket. He then quickly stood up and put the key in the lock and opened the cell.

"Have everyone person in area to have a for the prisoners cells, what idiots" Ryan said as he stepped out the cell kicking a side the plat of fries.

"Good thinking but now what? theres still nine other people to deal with and they all heard that banging you did" I said

"We run and fight"
