Skylar’s story-Siren’s Desire

*This story is underneath my folder titled “Siren’s Desire”. Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33[2]”. Enjoy!*

There once was a sixteen year old girl named Skylar Parkins, who had two friends named Lorelei and Finn. The three of them lived in a beachside town called “Moon’s Beach”, named after how the moon reflected a pale, otherworldly glow on the rippling, silver-blue ocean.

Skylar and her friends loved to hang out by the beach and surf together, particularly Lorelei, who was fascinated by the local legend of “Israfel the siren”, a teenage siren boy who was said to lure teenage girls to death with his song. Though Lorelei didn’t believe in the legend herself, she still liked being close to the water because of the feeling that there could be something more, something magical out there.

It wasn’t something that worried Skylar like how Finn was worried. If she liked the ocean because of a story, then what was there to worry about? Finn seemed to think that if her imagination took her too far, then she would get lost at sea. He thought that Lorelei would try to pursue the source of the legend herself, but Skylar thought that it was incredibly ridiculous and impossible for Lorelei to search for the “deeper truth” of the story, because it was nothing more than a fable, something that somebody made up a long time ago to explain things, something that Lorelei knew was fake, something-

Skylar heard news from her parents one day that Lorelei had disappeared.

Heyy.. Alwaysea here! I was searching for some short stories to read and found yours. I’m really glad I did.

The story is very well written. It captures that teenage phase so beautifully—spending time with friends, dreaming of adventures, and feeling confident enough to rule the world. I liked how every group seems to have those familiar types of people—a thinker, a dreamer, an adventurer, a pursuer. Reading about Sky, Finn, and Lorelei immediately reminded me of my own group of friends. I could easily relate, and honestly, I was definitely more like Finn back then.

As I went deeper into the story, I started wondering if maybe, just maybe, this could have really happened. The moment I realized that only girls were disappearing, so many questions came to my mind. Why only girls? Is Isfreal really the one who is making girls disappearing? Did Lorelei actually go into the sea searching for him? And most of all, what exactly happened to the missing girls—are they gone forever, or are they being held somewhere? That mystery gave the story such an exciting edge.

I also loved how Finn cared so much about Lorelei, and how Sky did too. Their worry showed the bond of friendship and loyalty in such a touching way. I found myself hoping right alongside them for Lorelei to come back. That part made the story emotional and human, even while keeping the suspense alive.

In the end, I really enjoyed this piece. It had everything I like in a story—loyalty, friendship, adventure, mystery, and that suspense that keeps you thinking even after finishing. I’d really love to know what happens further.

(If you get some time, please do check out a few of my works as well.)
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story, and as always—keep rocking 😎
