In Perdita and Thorne…

PreviousNext

*This story is under my folder “Perdita and Thorne…”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/topic/117842-my-character-designs-lt-33-3?start=150. Enjoy!*

Perdita blinked her eyes against the bright morning sunlight. It was so bright that she felt like her eyes would burn right off her sockets, so she quickly turned her gaze in front of her.

There was a blue sky and trees, but the trees didn’t quite look alive. Perdita felt dirt and grass underneath her fingers, but it was sparse, barely there at all.

Right next to her was a long, gray bar, with strange scribblings on it, nothing like the art Perdita remembered. Metal carriages swooped past her on a solid black path, so fast that she couldn’t make out all their details. They were loud, too. Ringing in her ears and making her head throb like there was something in it trying to get out and-

What did she remember? Paintings with roses and women, flowers…somebody gave her flowers. A friend? No, not quite a friend. Someone special. There was sunlight too, but the sunlight was softer, more forgiving. Everything was brighter. Prettier. Who was that person? There had to have been somebody…there was someone…she couldn’t have been alone…could she?

Her blue dress was so hot. So many skirts. So many layers. She was going to pass out if she didn’t find something else to wear. Or could she wear her white undergarments? Would anyone-No! She had to have some sense!

Perdita got up from the ground and brushed the dirt off the skirt of her dress. She needed to get away. She needed to find food. Then she could think.

With shaking steps, Perdita walked alongside the road, hoping that somebody would stop to help.

Ahh more Perdita, let’s go!

Hmmm

a long, gray bar, with strange scribblings on it, nothing like the art Perdita remembered.
I don’t rly know it comes across what she’s looking at. I do like that she doesn’t really know what to do with it either or how she describes cars etc but I am so lost at what this bar means.

Oh I like this sequence!
There had to have been somebody…there was someone…she couldn’t have been alone…could she?
Makes me really feel for her. Aww ☹
Also interesting that she describes the current era as “prettier”!

That said I find it so strange that she immediately starts thinking about her… dress and stuff and where she could get a new wardrobe? Because… I feel like she should have other priorities o.o

I also would like to know why she was lying near a road and no one came to investigate the girl in the old-timey dress up lying there unconscious… If she’d been buried or smthing that would be more believable but for now I remain skeptical!

The bar is something on roads/highways that has graffiti on it.

Thx for reading/advice!
