I really enjoyed reading this. It definitely lived up to it's description! I did have to stop and reread this line:
"after they unearth me"
It confused me at first, and after reading it for a second time and then finding that you used the word "grapple" I figured out that you have an extremely unique way of speaking and the way you look at things. My favorite part would have to be
"So I wrapped myself in pages
signed with red
but was too afraid
to let you read
so again I buried them"
I found this work to be unique. Most poems that start out like that, end in a tragedy, but you made it to be beautiful. I loved this and can't wait to see more of your work!
Ahhhhhh.

I had to sigh and relax a little after reading that, it was very good. I always find I like a poem more when I feel I can relate to it, and this one really hits me in the heartstrings. There's nothing quite like a friend who will listen and who cares, and I thought your bit about sharing stories just to hear yours balances the message really well. It's not bowing down it adoration, it's simply expressing gratitude, a lovely emotion to capture in a poem.
Your choice of language in general is excellent and for some reason the first line really works for me as well.
The only thing I can think to criticise, just for the sake of a balanced review, is the last 4 lines, when "still" isn't capitalised. It didn't feel like it needed to be lower case there, I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do with it. It's not so much a real problem, it would just look a little more consistent if you used the capital 'S'.
Overall, a very good poem on a great subject; well done
Hi there, I'm going to try and write my first "long" review. First off, I don't get the whole, "wrapped in pages signed with red" thing. Though it's quite nice, I feel as though it lacked something, but what? I don't know. It just, did! But whatever, I suggest you ignore this review, since I'm only a newbie. C:
Keep writing!
