Teach Me
Poetry has always escaped me,
Rhyme and imagery chucked out the window,
Structure and meaning all but trampled and mushed,
Emotions and insight trodden under my foot and crushed.
Even this is getting me no where,
But everyone has to start at some point,
And so I’m telling you – your help is needed,
Really you have to tell me, I’ve cried for it, pleaded.
I’ve stood and bitched at the impossibility,
Now it’s time to sit and learn from those who know,
Please please – teach me how to do so, instruct me, tell me,
Before I brawl and scream, tell me… how the hell do you write poetry?

how do you write poetry....hmm.

Anyway, good first attempt. Its really good. But i agree with Snoink, i guess the rhyming did seem a bit forced. I cant use rhyme to save myself, so im not exactly one to comment on that though. So yeaah..tis good work
I loved your ending the most!!! Good poem
Why do people like it? Personally, I think it's terrible.
.
Anyway Snoink, I'll check out that artical
Hee, clever. I like the format you used.
I liked it. Typical frustration of the artiste!!! lol
LOL!
I wrote a little article on structured poetry here: http://www.ver2.biz/snoink/kn/writing/5.php

Well, we are the blind leading the blind.
Your rhyming scheme is very forced.
But interesting idea! I love poetry that hates poetry.
