Hey, it's Serrurie, here to leave a review! Let's dive in:
The Good Stuff
- Never would I have thought I could feel sympathetic for a sink. I mean, really? A sink? It's the mark of a true poet to be able to dive into human emotions, and the mark of a master to explore the beauty of emotions with something unexpected. You, friends, did something very unexpected. It's innovative! And beautiful.
- The theme of sacrifice in this poem is beautiful and prominent. It helps cast a more serious tone on something that most people would probably find humourous.
- Now I am not only sympathetic for a sink, but RELATING to it? I love how the end ties up with the message 'it's ok to clean yourself up sometimes, scars make you stronger,' type of vibes. Forget what I said about this being innovative. It's a beautiful, soulful masterpiece that I enjoy a lot.
Room For Improvement
- I don't think all of your rhyme schemes make sense. Some of them are just a bit off. I think this is mainly highlighted when you make the perfect rhyme scheme and you realize that it's standalone, like here:
deep sink, you may be the only of your kind,
but there is something incredibly marvelous about your mind.
I only notice rhyme schemes like this going into the second stanza. I would just suggest rhyming a bit more to keep things consistent in the first stanza.
- This was a great poem! I felt a good amount of emotion while reading it, and I think it was very creative. I have no clue what being a deep sink enthusiast is, but I will gladly join you both in being one.
Happy writing, and have a blessed day!
