This was very complicated to figure out. I could understand that the poem is explaining of a slave chained by somebody's hand or something ..? (And I think trying to search for something on the land for their "master") The last couple stanzas I couldn't understand very well. Was the slave stranded somewhere or blinded or something? What pull is lost?
Sorry about all of these questions. It's very hard to understand in a good way, of course.
"The soul set free" Do you mean they passed on? The eyes fade to grey? Still not getting it. I know poems are supposed to be unclear and like a puzzle, but I can't seem to figure this "puzzle" out. I can understand they were set free I'm assuming since you said "chains turned to dust, the soul set free"
Anyways, good poem!
I love your word, and your imagery is amazing. It really opens the reader up to try and figure out what is going on. I love this poem but it may be a good idea to give a little more information, maybe even expand the poem a few more verses so we can go a little bit deeper with you and find out what happens to the soul if its stranded? why is the soul cursed to begin with? It's really good to see a poem this, I really enjoyed it.
Wow...awesome. Young poetic talent is something increasingly rare today, but you sure have it! Fantastic. Your rhythm is awesome, and the poem as a whole is very expressive, and provokes the reader to think about what your saying. I didn't see any spelling mistakes, and the grammar is top notch. The only suggestion I may have is too give the reader the tiniest bit more information on what you're trying to say. The poem lets the reader draw their own conclusions perhaps a fraction too much, but still, that doesn't detract from the great poem. Maybe make it a bit longer next time....Top notch!
I love your word choice and your excellent use of imagery.
