Oh, Mango,
How I miss you.
I miss you waking me up every morning at seven O’clock,
You were better than any alarm clock I have ever owned.
I miss when you would jump out of unknown corners,
Scaring the living daylight out of me.
I miss all of the laughs you gave me,
Hiding under boxes,
And popping out with a smile on your face.
I miss your playful, lovable spirit.
Your fierce nature,
And your dare devilish flare.
I miss your eyes,
Shining like emeralds in the dark night sky.
Your orange fur,
The color of the sunset.
The slight dot in the right side of your nose,
The color of wild galaxies.
I miss the chip on your left ear,
Who knows how you got it.
But most of all,
I miss you.
So Mango,
If you can hear me.
Thanks.
Thanks for being a friend.

Hey MapleWay!
First of all, I'm so sorry for your friend. Now give me a minute while to wash my face, 'cause I can't see through all the tears.
OK I'm back!
I really like how you express everything. Some of your descriptions are so pretty!!
I love how you describe Mango. You paint a beautiful picture of a cat with sunset in its fur, a chip in its ear, and an adorable habit of hiding beneath boxes and popping out like a jack-in-the-box.
The ending is so touching and simple, it makes me want to cry.
*sniff*
I love how you thank Mango. I think that you have written a beautiful poem, and you carry your reader with you from beginning to end. Great going!
R.I.P. Mango. Hope Mango is happy in cat-heaven.<3<3
Keep writing.
(give me a sec)
*sniffles*
ok well i am deeply touched and i really feel like this poem stabbed that little part of my heart where lies, "My pet memories".
I loved this poem...And i hope i didn't mis-comprehend anything. so is mango a dog or cat?
Also I can feel you because when i was in the second grade my cat died and it was hard so anybody out there who has been put through this sad experience of loosing a loved pet can understand this poem and it really hits home. Great job!
