I knocked this up in about 10 minutes whilst (ironically enough) procrastinating from my degree...
Just a bit of fun really!
I'd be interested to know if anyone else also becomes an avid cleaner when it gets to revision?
For the first time in months our rooms are clean,
suddenly, to life, springs the washing machine,
the dishes are no longer a yellowish green,
oh the procrastination!
It’s suddenly fun to cook long meals,
to spend time mending those broken heels.
It’s the perfect time to consider ideals!
Oh the procrastination!
Even for the unfit sport becomes fun
and we insist that we need morning runs
some of us may even bake hot cross buns!
Oh the procrastination
Fellow procrastinators don’t you agree
that life would be blissfully free and easy,
if procrastination was a degree?

Hey there! Purple here to give you a review! Let's get down to business.
This is a much different approach to poetry that I've seen on YWS.
I'm just confused because procrastination is only truly shown in the 2nd stanza. Everything else talks about doing activity, finishing the chores, etc. All of which are definitely not in regards to procrastination. This is more getting over procrastination and actually accomplishing something instead of putting it off, when in the title and last stanza you express want of reward for laziness which makes more sense.
Also, "Even for the unfit sport becomes fun" there is a comma needed after 'unfit'
I hope this was helpful. Have a good day!

This was great! I found myself smiling toward the end because this describes me accurately! I think many of us find joy or comfort in tedious (or random?) tasks when there is so much else to be done. I know when I have work for school to do or a piece I should be editing, I'm so quick to notice something that needs to be cleaned.
"Oh the procrastination!" I can almost visualize a nation of young adults raising their metaphorical glasses to this statement because it's so pleasant sounding, but at the same time exploits to the world the fault we're all painfully aware of!
This was fun to read, and left me wondering, as you wondered: if procrastination was a degree, would we be find something else to do rather than work towards that degree? Seems paradoxical to me.
Or maybe we'd get work done for our original degrees as a result…
That reminds me of how much schoolwork I should be doing at this moment, but am instead, procrastinating!
Anyway, thanks for the read!
