Hello everyone, this is a very random poem but I hope you like it! ![]()
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dandelions are very misunderstood,
because everyone calls them weeds.
But, of course, dandelions would,
do anything to please.
Their leaves are very tasty,
to guinea pigs, you see.
And rabbits aren’t too hasty,
to refuse them for a treat.
Their flower is very pretty,
to a butterfly or a bee.
And both drink its pollen,
because it tastes so sweet.
Dandelions are far lovelier
than nettles or other weeds.
So wouldn’t you people rather,
let them grow instead of those weeds?
Dandelions are very misunderstood,
because everyone calls them weeds.
But now, we all know,
That dandelions want to please.

I liked it, it makes me wish it was summmer even more than I did before. *Sighhh* Oh well, you're poem was really good, I would just get rid of a few of the commas so that it flows a little more smoothly.
This is a very good poem. Maybe not a sonnet like that guy who wrote Romeo and Juliet. But from start to finish it flowed very smoothly. I did not notice and choppiness and did not seemed forced by trying to rhyme with every line. The poem also makes a point that people treat the dandelion as just a weed, but this flower has a purpose in the cycle of life. It gives food to many different animals and insects. Even humans would think they would be pretty if they were not too intense on using the weed whacker on them.
That was really good. I really like poetry, but I'm really bad at it. I just can't find good rhyming words.
I think some more developed words could have been used, but overall I think it was very good and different.
Hi Lydia! I'm Kat, and I'll be reviewing ^.^
So, just a little note before I get onto it: I actually disagree with the reviewer above. I only found three places where the commas were misused:
There.
Here, only because it'll flow better with the next line without it.
And there.
So, now onto it! I really liked this. I thought it was a sweet poem, and it was fresh to me somehow. I think it started to drag a bit, as if you were just adding stanzas to make it longer, after the second stanza. I'm not saying 'cut them!', nooo. But maybe try to read it and see if there's something you could change to try and make it seem more like a fluid composition? The end was nice. As I said, a 'fluffy' poem. Yeah, I just used 'fluffy' to describe a poem xD Anyway, really nice. A good read, indeed. Sine there is no big plot behind it, there's no need for more imagery or emotion or whatever.
There was just something a little bit off:
First, it should be 'those', because these would be referring to the dandelions. But those what? Some other flowers, maybe? It kind of sets off
Thanks for posting! PM if you have any questions.

Woah, ease up on the comma button, and I think it would flow much more smoothly. I know sometimes it's hard to quite get punctuation right because you might read it a different way but with all the pauses in the stanzas it's very rough.
Wow, I really love this poem its cute and pretty much to the point. I love to write poetry, but sometime i have a hard time in rhyming. Any suggestions?
Take care and Great work!
