Looking in the mirror,
My eyes see a body like an hourglass.
Legs a goddess would be envy of,
And hips that are more then curvy.
My eyes see something great,
Other times, not so much.
Looking in the mirror,
My eyes see a body that needs improvement.
Thighs that need are too thick,
Hips that are too small.
A back that isn't smooth.
Lose weight,
Is what my brain shouts.
And sometimes it tells me to gain it,
But losing it seems better.
The mirror is my enemy.
- - -
Don't look at it.
The mirror may be your enemy, but I,
I am your friend.
In fact, I am even more,
I am the one you hold most near and dear to your heart.
So hush your brain,
Listen to my words.
You are beautiful!
Theres no doubt about it.
Yes, you have thick legs.
but that is what makes them have so much beauty.
You have hips from the gods,
and curves like no other.
So, hear I am telling you you have so much,
but you beg to differ.
If you don’t want to listen know that’s ok.
For I’ll tell you till the end of time.
Darling, you have a beauty like no other.

Hey there! It's ZeldaIsShiek here to review another quintessential piece of literature that made my day and win this Review Day by helping the Red Pandas stay in first place and reaching my goal of 80 reviews. I might even get to 100, if I work hard enough. I am really excited to review this amazing piece of art that you have created, and maybe add some witty humor as well. Anyway, that's enough idle chatter from me. Let's get into the review.
I like how you added to @Flumdiddle's incredible writing. They are my friend and I personally love how they structure their poems when I review them. Now, let's get into the review about the part you wrote. I like how you added the italicized part of this poem because it added a lot to it and made the poem feel like a Yin and Yang view of things; the positive and negative feedback show this philosophy very nicely. I also noticed that your part of the poem was two lines longer than @Flumdiddle's part, showing that there is more positive feedback than there is negative.
Now for the criticism. I thought that your poem had a queer structure, as there are short and then long lines with little rhyming. I think the longer lines is what made it feel different from the first half of the poem.
That's all for today. Keep writing amazing literature that inspires me to read and review them, and have a great Review Day! Let's beat the Blues once and for all!

Thank you Zelda!
Thank you so much Zelda! I%u2019m really glad you enjoyed the poem and I%u2019m also really happy you noticed the detail that my part was 2 lines longer to insinuate the contrast of positive vs. negative.
This is inspiring, honestly it is, and in certain cases, I almost think you're talking about Fluma
But anyways, I loved this, I don't have any suggestions for you to fix anything, you did well. The first part, when you describe what you see in the mirror, is detailed tremendously. You describe having curves, thick legs, and a body like an hourglass, as you compared it to. Which was very clever. This part is very good because you describe what someone sees in them self, well, what other would say. And then comes the later part in that stanza, it comes to YOUR POV. And that's something I think everyone can relate to! And lastly, comes to the last stanza, where it comes from an unknown POV, or as I would think, the mirror's POV, which I think would make sense!XD But, the 'mirror' is like, "You're perfect just the way you are, you don't need to change!" And that's a true statement, so I think you did well by expressing a common problem through positive words! So great job, I can't wait to read more from you! Keep up the fantastical work!
@Lake thanks so much for your review and btw @Fumiddle wrote the first section I didn%u2019t realize I forgot to give credit. I%u2019ll go fix that!
Ok it%u2019s fixed! Again thanks @Lake
No problem!
I only have written one poem and it was for school. It wasn't that good either. So what I'm trying to say is that I don't write poetry but I can tell you some other things. This was a great piece and it was well written I could easily understand it, (even though it is a poem and some of them don't make sense) It made emotions stir more and more until the end. This piece is inspiring and bring into effect more ideas and shows people that can't look in the mirror be able to look at themselves in the mirror and understand that they are special. Everyone is special no matter how much other people doubt them.
