How fragile I've become.
What used to be a normal mask is now in pieces.

Hiding.
Hiding is all I’ve ever done
Now im here, left in disarray
Struggling to find what my mask used to hide.

This mask,
Cracks filled with gold,
Stains from the things I regret,
New fabrics to show what I love, who I love.
And shattered, to show the glass figure that I am.

Finding others with masks,
Ones with cracks of silver,
Patterns of glimmering gems,
And fabrics of soft velvet,
Seems so hard.
Finding someone who is like me.
Finding myself.
It seems so hard,
To just be me.

To just let the mask fall off,
And show the face behind the milky glass.

It was the mask.
i could not stand it
i wanted to keep the fact that i had a mask hidden
but the real me kept leaking out.

Thats it! I can't take!
I can’t take another second!
i ripped that dreaded thing off.
tearing bits of flesh off with it

...that’s it
...it’s done
Im back to who I was
who I was hidding from the world
Damaged, is what I am.
But it will heal.

I will heal now that im finally free.

Hey Ashley here with a review (of sorts)
First of all when you say “That I am” it doesn’t flow with the rest of the paragraph, it kind of made the ending choppy (but maybe thats just me) and in multiple areas your I’s aren’t capitalized and some of your readers may give you a hard time with that. Also the bold paragraphs and letters, what’s up with that, is that supposed to symbolize something or did you just want those specific areas to stand out?? Other than that great job!! I love the way you write and how you putting feeling into each line/stanza. 7/10
~Cheers!!

Hey, so first off, I love this! The idea of masks is common in literature, but the way you incorporated them made me fall in love with your story! The idea of the masks being filled with gold or silver, or covered in gems made me think of how even if we are all hiding, we still hide differently.

However, there were a few grammatical errors. A few times you said "Im" which should be written as "I'm" I'm not sure if that was a stylistic choice, but it came across to me as an error.

Anyway, I love this dearly, and I hope you continue to write such lovely poems!

Hey, Lordtachanta, Flumadiddle, and Woahhitherepal. First off, the three of you did a great job with this poem. Other than the off and on capitalization in stanzas at the beginning of each line and and the bold font, I liked this piece and I hope to see more from you all sometime.
