Beyond

E - Everyone

In Poems

This could mean practically anything to you, it could have endless meanings. If it's possible, I'd like you to answer this question: What is beyond? Does it really have any meaning?

I thought one night; what was beyond?

So I told myself a complex poem...

Beyond the sky's everlasting limit,

Beyond one's most extraordinary dream,

Beyond nature and the Hunt itself,

Beyond the most intricate science..

Beyond the beginning and end...

Beyond the horizon of a new dawn,

Beyond the labyrinth of our world..

Beyond the dark void of our galaxy..

Beyond world's unknown mysteries,

Beyond prophecies foretold,

is the collections of our past.

Hey Katgirl! I remember you from the chats, and you seem pretty awesome indeed, and a good writer, so let's get to reviewing!
Hmm, pretty plain and simple poem you got here. I can't figure out a meaning, or any symbolism, but maybe that's part of the poem.
The only thing I didn't like too much was the lack of your own voice in this piece. What do YOU think of the beyond? What do you think IS beyond? What is the Hunt? You should explain some of these things in your poetry.
The other thing that caught me off guard was the shift in repetition. I think you should have cut out the first two lines, or you could have found a way to integrate the repetition of "beyond" in there.
Still, I like this poem, be sure to keep writing so I can look at your future stuff!

This. This is great.
I love how you wrote this, I love the invisible depth, I absolutely just admire you for this.
I've ever thought of what was beyond, but as I read this, I began to think. To imagine. You opened up a door in my mind, and I don't think I'll be able to shut it until I really do find out what's really beyond. Doubt that I will, though.
I enjoyed how you finished it up, it really just topped off the whole poem.
It really made me think, and that's how I just know that this is a great poem. Something that makes your mind turn, wakes it up, makes it want to figure out the answer.
Thank you for writing this, Kat!
Waiting to see more from you!

Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it’s the answer to everything. It’s the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain, to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it’s a cactus.
