Kage (Shadow)

by GrymmRipper

In a realm inhabited with matter,
It prevails,
A shadow of all that is substantial,
Of all that is dense.
A shadow that occupies space,
Yet conquers no space.
Manifested miscellaneously,
An existence impeded by brilliance,
Its expression remains determinate.

A shadow of all that is corporeal,
Unbeknownst to itself,
When gazed upon by a soul,
Provokes a myriad of thoughts.
A commensal bond,
A symbiosis regarded as ethereal,
Illusive and thought of as trivial.

A soul of all that is substantial,
of all that is corporeal,
Continues to fathom the existence of its shadow.
The Shadow lives on,
In ignorance of its gravity,
Of its benefaction to its soul.
Its neither a fable nor a parable,
But an allegory that will evanesce over time.

I'm not too into poetry so i cannot really say much about this. it does have a very Japanese feel to it, maybe it's because i watch too much anime. your style is also quite interesting and i don't really think this goes much as fantasy. personal opinion shouldn't count too much so do try get an opinion for other people 'cause like i said, I'm not good at poetry. keep writing!

I have no real criticism for this poem. The only thing I could suggest is for you to read it over again. Many times when reading it over you catch something that someone else would not. This is a great poem. Good job and keep on writing! :D
