To Be Watching

She is beautiful. I've never met her, I don't even know her name. All I know is that she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

I first saw her walking home from our school one day. I was curious about her, so I followed her home. I saw where she lives. I know her habits, her favorite foods, who her friends are. I just don't know her. Is that what really counts though? To know about a person?

Right now, I am standing on the street, looking into her window. She is sitting cross-legged on her neatly made bed. I can see she is highlighting some notes in a textbook. She always works on homework right after she gets home from school. After she's done with homework, she always leans back on her bed for a minute, then she studies her textbooks and takes notes for at least an hour. Her room is always tidy. She has a bathroom connected to her bedroom. A queen sized bed sits against her wall, with a TV on the other wall. On her desk sits a computer and her favorite books. She likes romance. Especially Nicholas Sparks, who I presume is her very favorite author. She has at least 10 of his books. She's read A Walk to Remember several times. Her copy is beaten and tattered.

She pauses to brush her dark red hair out of her eyes. Her hair is naturally dark red. It's almost like her hair was brown, but God thought she was too perfect for average brown hair. She is perfect. She is tall and curvy. She wears jeans, converse and a nice shirt every day.

A part of me wishes I knew her name. But isn't that the fun of it? The suspense, not knowing her name until the last possible moment. I could probably find out what her name is at school. I choose not to. Every time I open my mouth to ask, I decide not to. Every time I begin to walk towards her, I turn right back around and walk in the other direction.

My uneven hair falls into my eyes. I brush my hair out of my face and push my glasses up my nose. My clothes are ill-fitting, my shoes slip and slide on my feet. I'm tall and skinny. I never know where to put my limbs. She would never like a guy like that, like me. So I have to admire her from afar. Sure, my homework never gets done and my parents never know where I am. No harm no foul. My parents don't care about me, anyway. Even if they did, my French teacher would probably say "Tant pis pour toi." But I'm so far behind with my French homework, I don't even know what that means.

She looks through her window and sees me. Her window is open, and her curtains suddenly billow in from a sudden gust of wind. She walks over to the window. My heart is racing. My palms are sweaty. What do I say? What do I do? What will she say?

"Hey, you creep! If you don't stop watching me, I'll get a restraining order. Or I'll have my Dad shoot you. Your choice." She slams her window closed and yanks her curtains shut. I sigh.

This is true love, she really is perfect.

I love a girl who isn't afraid to be honest.

Cool! Haha, if I am the boy, I'll totally keep staring at her everyday! It was an awesome piece. Well, hoping to see your works another time.

Not much ti say that others haven't already! But I loved how romantic it all sounds right up until the last moment where we're reminded that, yes, he is being a bit of a stalker, and his reaction is just perfection!

My only nitpick would be that, he observes the room in a LOT of detail, despite being across the street? perhaps add him being a little closer, maybe for extra love/creep factor, have him climb a tree :P
Very well-written :) love to see more!

GRAVITY! Hey there. I'm Nike *shakes hand* nice to meet you. Here's my review on Review Day! You're my first review today, so be excited :3

The first part is great. No edits.

I like what you wrote here. It's like we know he's watching her, but it's so beautifully written , like poetry, that you think he's not being creepy about it at all.

But I'm so far behind with my French homework, I don't even know what that means.

THAT SUCKS. HE SHOULD GO UP TO HER. But that's me, being the reader ha-ha. This is so great. I love your writing and how you wrote this. It gets my feels.

I sigh.

This is so unexpected since this is so beautiful, like I said, it doesn't seem like being a creep even though it is, and she's showing it. AMAZING.

This is true love, she really is perfect.

I love a girl who isn't afraid to be honest.

I love how he still loves her <3.

AMAZING STORY. Great writing. No mistakes.

PM me for anything

Haha, this story is looking to be so awesome! I love this stalker/pedo thing going on here. You've described the characters great, I can just picture this geeky, lanky teen standing outside staring at this gorgeous redhead >.< I do feel like you've used too many full-stops in here though, a little too frequently. I myself use heaps, but when I read this it made me a little uncomfortable with the many that are scattered around the work. Other than that, I don't see many problems! I can't wait to read more, keep up the great work! ^-^

What's a full-stop?

I don't have a whole lot to say that previous reviewers haven't said, but I am happy and impressed to see you posting so frequently.

The ending is so great XD You really got the creepiness spot on and even though the story was really short you still got a lot of character description in there. You actually had me feeling bad for the poor stalker, haha. This was great and very entertaining. You're a talented writer and I actually like this compared to your other stories because you really described the setting and characters well. ^^ Write more creepy stuff please!

Coolio. Thank you :)

This is the perfect creepy story. Definitely hit the creepy, stalker like thinking on the button. I really hope that it is not from experience. Just kidding, maybe. Anyway there are probably some grammatical errors in there somewhere, but I am not an editor so I don't exactly know.

I love how you thought, never mind about the beginning of this sentence, I realize that would just be weird. Anyway your stalker is the perfect stalker and definitely thinks in the way of a stalker. I really hope that you don't have personal experience with this besides the whole Facebook thingy.

Lol I don't. I promise. I just happen to be a good, experienced writer. Haha I am not a stalker, nor am I a "stalkee". I noticed someone posted a story called "The Stalker" So I changed the name of my story.

Thanks for clearing that up.

haha lol. What does your avatar say?

"Keep calm and being obsessed over fictional guys isn't weird...is it?"

lol. nice
