I loved how you went from like (for lack of better terms), pleasant to detestful and then back to pleasant...I think that's a really interesting pattern. The empty sockets part was really good...and the beginning was the best...it kept me intrigue. I think the beginning is always the most important part--and the very ending, of course. And then there's everything in between which of course great as always. And this had better not be the last thing that I read from you. Otherwise, I'll just roll over and die.

Mind if I say this was your best piece? In my opinion, anyway. The imagery was excellent, as was your choice of words. But then, it always seems to be. This somehow just clicked in the right way for me.
