This was so good! I don't think I can help you out by writing a review because I can't find anything to give some constructive criticism on and because I'm not very skilled when it comes to reviewing poetry, but I just wanted you to know that I thought it was an amazing poem. I love how positive and powerful it was! It definitely deserves to be in the literary spotlight!

Hello, Authorian! Gxldencrxwns here for a review.

From the length of the poem, I can tell I won't have much to review on, but every word counts right? I believe I've saw this picture before, on google. If that is where you got this from, I'd suggest linking the original.

As for the actual poem itself, it's fine. I don't really have much to say on it, considering the four lined single stanza. But the meaning with it is sad and extremely relateable. I'm getting a feeling that the main character is hugging someone for the last time, maybe the main character is going to die soon? Are they moving? Now I have questions that needs answers! Lol.

I don't really have much else to say about this. Except maybe put a comma after hello and a period after goodbye. The same thing for the third and fourth line. It goes along smoother.

Keep writing!

Hi there! Just a few thoughts on your poem:
I like the consistency of the line lengths -- it makes it appear really cohesive/polished. You do a nice job telling a story of contrasts. Both characters are experiencing a different emotion in the same moment, really interesting. The near rhyme with lines 2 & 4 are also nice, bringing the poem together.

One piece of criticism is that we don't have much as far as setting this poem apart and making it unique, in terms of description. I'd love to see a metaphor in here or some real imagery. The only description we have in here is that the tears stung. Besides that, this poem is really stark and direct. While the starkness really lets the poem be direct and instant, I'm not sure it has enough description in there just yet to leave a lasting impression.

Another small critique is that I think the word "so" in line 3 disrupts the flow of the piece. For some reason that line just does not read as smoothly as the other lines. Besides that I thought the flow was pretty good, and I think your choice to be very minimalist with the punctuation and capitalization fit the tone of the piece as well.

Overall, it was a nice - short poem. Best of luck in your future writing!!

sad and relatable in many ways

Short and sweet, so I suppose I don't have a lot to say about it. I like the imagery there, where the reader gets a story even though it is never totally explained in the piece. The syllables felt a bit off to me in the final line, but you are the writer so please leave it if I'm just a stupid reviewer. I don't know why, but I think there should be an "at" between "stung" and "eyes."

I like this poem a lot. However, it does sound familiar to me. I'm wondering where I've seen something similar... no matter. The idea was wonderful. Keep writing!

Hello :)

So there obviously isn't much for me to review lol but I thought I would make an effort anyway by letting you know that I loved this. It has so much emotion and character in its simple stanza of four lines and is a truly beautiful poem, though short as it is. It pulls at the heartstrings of readers because I am sure that many people understand what is being depicted in its words. It reminds me a bit of Edgar Allan Poe's work because it is a sad and we can believe that the narrator is a very tormented, distressed person. Overall this was great to read, keep up the good work!

That is a cute and sad little poem.
